Great staff, felt very welcome. Breakfast was also great and because we had to leave earlier, they also took the trouble to serve it earlier. The walking distance to the beach is good and there are a lot of restaurants.

The building itself is nice but the surroundings could use a cleaning.

Perfect stay, great staff and the breakfast is lifechanging!

Sherie provided loads of helpful information about the area. The breakfasts on the roof were excellent with lots of choice and beautifully presented. The room was spacious and the shower terrific. There were some evening meals which you could join and that was also a great way to meet other travelers. As we were much older than the others it was particularly interesting to hear about their lives.

The noise of barking dogs and people on the streets. A good reminder to invest in earplugs!

I've spent time in probably about 6 different hostels in this area and Dar George was for me the best one for sure. Owners are amazing, its clean, breakfasts were exceptional. Disadvantages were minor things and can be easily omitted in review. View was also great, Not often writing reviews but here I'm confident about advising it ;)

My partner and I had just two nights at Dar George. The rooftop and interior design of the space is gorgeous, and Kristopher and Sherie seem like really nice people and hosts, who gave lots of local tips for the area. Their breakfast was also delicious.

I think if we had our time again we probably would have chosen another place to stay - largely based on our own preferences rather than anything wrong with the accommodation or the hosts. The main reason is that our first of two nights was a Friday night, which we didn’t realise was ‘cous cous night’ where the hosts and their neighbours play drums on the rooftop until about 11-11.30pm. We were told just before we arrived about cous cous night and had already made plans to go to Taghazout that night for dinner, but we were quite tired when we got back around 10pm and it did feel awkward that we didn’t feel up for participating, plus there was no way we could go to sleep until they stopped playing as the whole building was shaking. Usually we think these kinds of experiences are really great, but we had not factored it in when we booked at the time and it would have changed our calculus if we’d known. We do have to caveat that we did find the neighbourhood cats and dogs quite loud, we could hear a lot of doors and footsteps in the building itself, and we found the bed quite hard - so in general we didn’t get great sleep - maybe we are lighter sleepers than other guests who seem to suggest the sound was fine for them. A second reason is that we are normally early-ish risers (between 7-8am), and would normally have breakfast around 8. We found ourselves a bit confused about when breakfast was in the mornings at different times (one morning it started at 10am) and there wasn’t super clear communication each morning. I think we are just people who like to get up and go in the morning, whereas this is the kind of place where you sleep in and not worry about time - and it seemed like lots of guests who were staying there really like that kind of atmosphere.

Stunning location, friendly owners, cozy vibes and amazing breakfast. Highly recommended, great value for money
