The room is big, clean, comfortable. The bed is massive and also very comfortable. The staff are very kind and polite.

The decking around the pool needs a bit of maintenance as some of the wooden boards are breaking, potentially causing accidents. In the property’s page it says beach front and I was disappointed to learn that despite being very close to the beach, it is not beachfront.

AC didn’t work for three days and nights. This place has no generator for rooms and there are often long electricity showdowns on the island!!! I left after 3 days, but these people refuse to get me money back.

De très nombreuses pannes d’électricités qui ont durée plus de 4h. De ce fait, plus de clim, plus d’eau chaude, plus de lumière… De plus, la piscine était un peu trop chaude et donc ne permettait pas de bien nous rafraîchir…

The room was very spacious, as was the bathroom. The shower was well equipped, with both a handheld shower and an overhead rainfall shower. The swimming pool was very nice, although in the afternoon the water tended to be quite warm. Breakfast offered a fairly good variety of options. However, I personally did not appreciate having to use shared jars of jam and peanut butter left on the buffet table, as I am not comfortable using the same containers as other guests. The air conditioning in the room worked well, which was very important given the climate. I also appreciated the mirrored windows, which ensured privacy, as people outside could not see into the room.

The property was described on Booking as beachfront, but in reality the beach was not directly accessible from the property. To reach it, we had to exit the premises and walk for a few minutes, which does not correspond to what is usually meant by “beachfront”. Another major issue was the electricity supply. Nowhere in the property description was it mentioned that power outages could occur. On our first evening, the electricity went off from around 6:30 p.m. until midnight. On the following days, there were additional outages, even if they only lasted a few minutes. This caused significant discomfort, especially during the evening and night. Upon arrival, we also had to look for staff ourselves in order to check in, as no one was readily available. Moreover, none of the staff members present at that time spoke English, which made communication very difficult. Only later that evening, after we contacted Booking to report the lack of electricity, did the manager come to speak with us. We were told that we could either move to another property or stay, being aware that further power outages might occur. Regarding housekeeping, when we left the property for excursions, we were informed that if we wanted our room to be cleaned, we had to leave the keys with the staff. However, the cleaning service was very minimal: the bed was made and the floor was swept, but the towels were never changed during our entire stay.

Nice property with a big, spacious apartment and a huge balcony. Restaurant was nice with good food. A minute walk to the beach..Matemwe is a very chill place !

The huge balcony was great but lacked a few green plants or a hammoc or daybed of some sort..It was not very comfy or inviting to chill at. Also a joint tipbox for the staff would be helpful

Luogo confortevole dove risiedere per alcuni giorni di tranquilla e rilassante vacanza. Stanze ampie e pulite. Ottimo per i bimbi la presenza della piscina e, all'esterno, del campo di pallone. Spiaggia a due passi.

Il ristorante non è male, la qualità del cibo è buona, ma la varietà è limitata.

Everything was amazing, very nice people, the rooms are very big and comfy, food excellent and fresh every day, it was a very nice experience.
