The Fishing Cottage

Location was lovely (when I found it, could have done with a map/directions/what3words as postcode not suitable due to property being hidden from road). Peaceful. Very comfortable (except for sofa!) Clean (except for a few cooking utensils)

Some of the cooking utensils weren't clean so I had to re-wash them. Garden area could have had more comfortable seating and maybe a few more flowers/greenery. Would have liked the owners to pop over on the first evening or send a text message (if they weren't around) to check everything was ok and if I needed anything.

Quiet and peaceful, perfect for a lovely getaway close to all the popular places in the Cotswolds. The food at the Halfway pub was beautiful and only a 5 minute drive. Bed was lovely and comfortable and the copper bath was Devine for a long soak after a day exploring.

Could have been signposted a little better inside the courtyard as struggled to locate the property initially, luckily a resident pointed us in the right direction. Maybe a sign on the gate would be helpful?

Beautiful stone cottage. Tastefully decorated. Location perfect for exploring the Cotswolds - great walks, pubs, cafes nearby.. We loved the peace and quiet.

We arrived in the dark and had difficulty finding it. A sign on the gate for The Fishing Cottage would help. We notified the owners of our arrival time but when we got there it was completely dark. Took some time to warm up the cottage when we arrived. Some insulation to the side door would help.

Wonderful location, private, secluded and full of character with good facilities.

We couldnt see any signage for the cottage so went to the main house. Obvious once you know!

Stunning building and location

I stayed for 3 nights with my wife and our dog and we loved it. It was a lovely quiet place, in a very good location, had everything we needed and the hosts were great, couldn’t do enough for us. Was only a 15 minute drive away from Stow and Bourton on the water.

There was nothing not to like.
