Castle Yard Cottage

The town is very lovely and the accomodation is perfectly situated to walk into town, not more than 5- 10 minutes depending on your walking pace. We can highly recommend the restaurant "So!" as we had incredibly well presented and well prepared brunches there, with friendly and excellent staff. The accomodation is decorated with style and the kitchen and bathroom are delightfully well finished and a pleasure to use. It is a comfortable place to stay. There are stairs upstairs to the bathroom and bedroom, they are carpeted well, and have walls on either side if you need some support to walk up, no more steep than a regular flight. The outdoor area is a great area to eat a meal or have a cup of tea if the weather permits it. There is outdoor furniture with cushion coverings provided. It is a great space and very warm and cozy for a couple.

These are very small comments, and not really dislikes: The parking is a little tricky, as you are not garenteed parking outside the property, which is also a disc permitted parking space. We used the long stay parking as advised by our hosts which is a 10 minute walk away from the property, and works perfectly well, and is not expensive. £2.40 for 24 hours to park. The accomodation mentioned a parking disc in the welcome file, unfortunately we couldnt find it but a kind local lent us theirs whilst we stayed.

The cottage was absolutely beautiful, very clean and cosy. Located right in the middle of the village just a minute walk away from the castle and couple minutes walk to he riverside. Had the most amazing stay.
