A fantastic relaxing resort in the hills of Wayanad, Kerala. First class accommodation of the highest standard experienced so far in India in an independent chain. Location with views across banana plantation, lush greenery, and cool, clean air. We were fortunate enough to arrive when peppercorn harvesting and some coffee bean harvesting and drying was taking place. The staff are exceptionally attentive, and there is a highly skilled cook who makes traditional food - the best so far in India. The breakfasts were superb with omelette and a selection of traditional dishes including idli, dhal samber, set dosa’s and many more, changing each day. Already a fan of Indian dishes from around the country, the Keralan food was different and the explanation of each dish ensured we enjoyed the dishes even more. There was enough at breakfast to keep you satisfied until the evening meals. The menu for dinner was broad and each dish distinguished itself from the others. We will dream of this food, long after we have left. The infinity pool is great to relax after a day trip from the resort, and good for watching the sun sink behind the distant hills. We had a day trip, on the advice of Nikhil, the owner, and it took us to the Irpu waterfalls, Kuruwa dweep island complex and Thirunelli temple. I have included a picture of the day trip board, as this shows trips to National Parks and more options on offer. The team have done everything to make our stay relaxing, and pleasurable - nothing was too much trouble. We feel privileged to have found this hidden gem.

There was nothing to dislike.

Our stay at Serne Crest was both comfortable and relaxing. This resort was perfect for our family, which included senior citizens and toddlers, as we were looking for a place that could provide a peaceful and accommodating environment. The resort is located away from the noise of the city (approximately 20 km from any major tourist spots); however, they did provide cab service for sightseeing. It is a great choice if your main goal is to enjoy greenery, calmness, clean air, and solitude. The resort was clean, with well-maintained toilets and bedding. There was a lovely garden where children could play freely, as well as a swimming pool. Special thanks to Ms. Laxmi for always being available and attentive to our needs—she was truly a gem. Thanks to Mr. Manish, Ms. Ashudhi, and Mr. Joy as well for their zealous and ongoing support. Finally, we would like to thank Mr. Nikhil—the resort owner—who ensured that our stay was comfortable and was always just a phone call away to address any requests. He made sure taxis were always available for sightseeing and also assisted us with our ride back to Bangalore.

There is room for improvement regarding accessibility for the elderly and disabled, as there are currently no ramps provided. Additionally, some fencing could be added to better protect children. The kids' play area and the swimming pool also needs enhancement. The food at the resort was tasty, though the options were somewhat limited. Service was a bit slow, but the friendly and patient staff more than made up for it with their positive attitude.
