Ashford Bridge Barn

Sehr schönes Häuschen im Grünen - Perfekt für Wanderungen. Sehr gepflegter Garten mit Obstbäumen, von denen wir uns bedienen durften. Freundliche Besitzerin, die uns mit scones empfing. Einrichtung originell, geschmackvoll, sehr sauber.

Möbel etwas älter. Waschmaschine war nicht angeschlossen. Beides nicht schlimm.

Very cosy. Peaceful, relaxing. The river. Fire was already lit on our arrival. Apples to pick off trees. The Herons on the river. And of course the amazing scones and jam!

Met by the owner shortly after our arrival. Had very nicely prepared a table in kitchen/lounge for tea with scones, jam and butter!

Our host Elizabeth came to greet us and showed us how to use the appliances and around the property. We were met with homemade jam and scones with china tea service. Tea, milk and coffee was available. With a start like that you know it's going to be good. Parking was easy and we had no problem finding the property. We were surrounded by apple trees laden with fruit and field mushrooms for picking (make sure you know what you're looking for). There was a lovely walk up the side of the river. It was calming and restful. Good sized shower. Plenty of hot water which came through quickly. All the cutlery and kitchenware we could need. Bed and pillows were comfy. Perhaps the only extra appliance could have been a washing machine if you were staying for a while and walking but the kitchen was so beautifully set out I don't know where it could go. But it wasn't a problem for our short stay. There is a petrol station with shop a short drive south. Look out for some good pubs in the area. We went to two and they were good. Boot Inn is particularly recommended. Great food and ale and people happy to chat. It's an easy drive into Ludlow which was good for us as we were going to the food festival. Check parking online before you go. I'm good at finding the right place for us and this is firmly in my top 5 of favourite stays. It's a beautiful building, full of character and very tastefully and sympathetically furnished. We hope to be back.

We loved staying in the barn and would happily book again. The host was extremely welcoming and we appreciated our scones and damson jam! The barn is situated on the bank of a river and has plenty of space around it to relax and watch the wildlife. The furnishings in the barn are of a high standard and the beds were very comfortable. We had everything we needed for a great 5 night stay.

Bit cosy for 4 adults, but OK for short stay

We simply enjoyed our stay at this lovely old property. If you dont enjoy nature, you may not enjoy this property. But we loved seeing all. thank you.

The upstairs bedroom was just ok, but the front door let sushine in the morning and should have had a black out blind. We were suprised to find we had bats iliving n the roof, as we used some of the roof as bedroom.

Beautiful setting right next to a river and with plenty of room to wander by the river or even go in for a dip. Had everything we needed for a 4 night stay. Lots to see and do nearby. Elizabeth, the host, was very welcoming and left us homemade scones and jam for when we arrived. Highly recommended.

Steep and high steps to access the property so not good for young children or anyone with a disability, but it was perfect for us!

Idilyic location. 5min drive to Ludlow.. Friendly and accomadating host. Highly recommend.
