Dondrub Guest House

The guesthouse is well kept, the staff is friendly and helpful, the reception is always open during the day. The rooms are simple as it is usual in such guesthouses, but there is everything you really need. During my stay, there was always enough warm water for a shower.

The house was noisy in the morning (I do not mean the nun's prayers which did not disturb me at all, but people talking very loudly in the corridor and in the courtyard). The breakfast was quite basic (but okay).

The Anis were wonderful and the breakfast was a great addition that I hadn't expected. Delicious tea. Easy walk to Boudha stupa.

The place is warm because of its people, their ease and kindness. They were very welcoming. The guest house has an intent of peace and joy, and that come through in the way one experiences the place.

Stayed here before. The location is perfect. Everything about Dondrub is great. Comfy beds & great breakfast. Definitely recommend staying here.

Staff, cleanliness and atmosphere are very hospitable. But very important, around one airplane takeoff/landing per hour! And not much to beat the cold in winter.

If you're ever in Kathmandu then this is the place to stay. The hospitality is amazing, everyone is SO friendly and supportive. I got the chance to join the nuns for their morning puja and the experience was magical. The rooms are incredibly comfortable, the water is very warm and the space is very pleasant. The breakfast is delicious and is different every day. I also bought a few things from their little shop at reception to bring back home for my loved ones. I also needed a taxi to the airport and they booked an advance one for me which was really helpful. I wish I had more time to stay here! Wonderful experience and brilliant location
