"Disappointing Stay - Unlivable Conditions, Severe Infestation, and Atrocious, Unresponsive Support"

There was really nothing to like about this place considering how grave the experience was.

My stay at the Cozy Private Studio in Cape Town was an absolute nightmare. The room was infested with ants that swarmed kitchen counters, bed linens, the bathroom and even the sugar bowl. The host's hazardous solution of spraying harsh chemicals made the space uninhabitable, while I endured painful insect bites, likely from bed bugs, that left my skin covered in red, itchy welts. Forced to leave early, after just 4 nights due to the unlivable conditions, I received no refund from the host or Booking.com, despite their advertised support. Keep in mind that I have photographic evidence of this, sent to Booking.com support already and they literally refused to be of any help. This property is unfit for guests, and Booking.com's failure to address these serious issues makes their service unreliable. It is pointless to book through them if they would not do anything to assist, like it would be cheaper to book directly through properties since Booking.com would not be of any help anyway. Avoid this property and platform at all costs. Reply to host: I stand by my experience, and I find it ironic that you'd call my retelling of events lies, let me quote you from whatsapp: " We seem to have misplaced the spare key for the cottage, so my helper was not able to put the insecticide for the ants. Let me know when you are back and I will come put it for you." The presence of ants was not due to "mess." The infestation was significant and present upon arrival, with ants crawling on surfaces regardless of food. Your solution of harsh poisoning chemicals left the room unusable. If it was actually "self-inflected" you wouldn't have admitted otherwise on whatsapp. Also, I've spent the rest of my stay at a much fancier place, I couldn't care less about your refund.

Privacy!!! No one disturbs you and you have a lot of freedom.

Aircon is needed but was supplied with a fan instantly
