Sweet House Melania

The apartment was only 10 minutes away from the airport ( we used publi transportation) and as we arrived at the apatment we were located on the second floor. The we had 2 double beds and 1 sofa bed in the kitchen, we had a bathroom and a shower and a washing machine ( however we didn't have to use it since we only stayed for a very short period of time). We liked the modern furniture and look of the apartment too. We found 2 bottles of large water and 1 big packet of juice in the fridge which was really much appreciated since we had a late flight. The owner was also helpful since she contacted us in advance, to have our passport details and to give us the code and provide us with some information we might need during our 2 days there. The apartment is located around 15 minutes away from the city center. We also had a BBQ which oone could use however for the information it works with charcoule. After our stay the owner helped us book a taxi to the airport and let us leave the luggages at the apartment since we had a late flight.

The apartment had only stairs no lifts and although it was just 2 floors we had to carry up all the bags by ourselves in a very narrow staircase. The location is not the best one to be in since the environment around in not that clean and a bit cold to stay alone in, however we had a small cheap supermarket just arund the corner to buy daily fresh goods. There was a lack of utensils in the kitchen and few shower soap in the shower for 5 people, also another issue was that a full amount of lectricity was cutting the power off however we still managed. The apartment is 1 hour 30minutes awa from the ount Etna so if you wil be visiting Catania for Mount Etna take the tour from the city center because by taxi you can NEVER reach it plus they will charge you more money!!! DO NOT USE UBER!!!

Loved the apartment! Clean and very well equiped (air conditioning, washing machine, hair dryer, coffe machine, kettle, microwave). Very good communication with the owner. Everything was perfect! Highly recommend!

Place really nice and clean. There is absolutely everything you might need. Very comfortable and large beds. Host is really nice and always responds promptly. 15 minutes walk to the center. 17 minutes walk to the nearest beach

Place itself really close to all the sights, but the neighborhood is not the best place. Really loud (impossible to sleep with an open balcony or window) and I really don't even know how to describe these piles of garbage everywhere (and hence a lot of rats on the streets...). Beach is less than 20 min walk but but there is no sidewalk and the route is not pleasant. Wifi was on and off all the time.

Very nice property, it had everything you needed. Very clean and spacious. Close to the city center and the train station.

The neighborhood is not that nice. It is a big doscrepancy between how nice is the property and what you see when you exit it. Also the internet was not working well.

The area(street) was terrible. A lot of junk of the street. (Also Catania has a lot of junk on the street)
