Lots of space. Comfy beds. Good shower pressure. Cute garden area. Well equipped kitchen. Parking was no issue at the front or the back of the property. Host was communicative & left us treats for arrival. Bumped into neighbours on both sides, who were typically lovely & chatty South Walians. Cardiff less than an hour’s drive away. Big Pit Museum on the doorstep & Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) just over the hill. We felt relaxed and comfortable in this home. It was functional before fancy, but that’s us too!

My teens tell me the sofas were a bit unsupportive. Yet they managed to stream Netflix from them, with no problems.

We really liked the size and location of the house. It is very close to a lovely walking area. There are plenty of places to visit nearby and it was very quiet. All in all, it was a great short break. Thank you, Craig 😊

Extra touches with toiletries. Very nice tv with Netflix etc. Shower worked well. All clean. No problem with parking.

The host, Craig answered a couple of questions vey quickly in the days leading up to arrival. He did likewise whilst we were there. Nothing seemed any trouble to him. As a family of 2 adults, 2 children ( aged 10 and 13 ) and a dog, we wanted space which this gave at a reasonable price. Beds all made up with more than enough decent towels and toilet rolls forever more. Washing up liquid etc left in the kitchen and shampoo etc in the bathroom - useful if we had forgotten to take ( which we sometimes do ) . Free wi-fi too which is always a bonus. Some of the simple and on the face of it little things that were done well in this property are so often missing. Ok so parking was tight but to be honest we could always get parked very close to the property and had we wanted to we could have just parked round the back. There is a pub within a 1 minute walk of the place - out the door and to your right. Whilst we did not go in you could not ask for a pub much nearer. There is also decent green space just beyond the pub - good for my boy wanting to play football. Kitchen appliances all new and / or well looked after including microwave, oven and kitchen utensils.

Nothing really

Everything! The beds were comfy with great quality bedding. The sofas in the lounge were so comfy it was a pleasure to sit in on the cold dark nights. Everything you could need was provided even down to the great amount of toilet rolls always essential when there are a few of you. Shampoo, soap, tea, coffee, snacks and much more was provided. Loads of plates, cups etc for all ages! Central heating throughout which was just wonderful. We took our dog, the patio area was enclosed and dog proof and there was a hose pipe which was great for muddy paws and to clean the patio after toilet time. Can’t say enough to praise this fabulous home from home.

I had a fantastic weekend getaway from October 25th to 28th, and it was truly special to have all six children and my son-in-law gathered together before our family welcomes a new member. The thoughtful touch of having snacks, tea, and coffee ready for us upon arrival was greatly appreciated. The house itself was not only beautiful but also impeccably clean (as pictured), and the assortment of toys was a delightful surprise for the little ones. The pre-teens and teens were thrilled with the WiFi, as they had brought along their gaming consoles to enjoy. I was pleasantly surprised to find that every essential item we could possibly need was available, and the dinnerware was suitable for all ages, making our stay even more comfortable. I will certainly consider returning in the future, and I must say, the communication from the owner was exceptional.

Spacious, well resourced accommodation.

Difficult to park - very narrow street. Blaina seems very derelict, with many shops boarded up.
