Eleven Luxury Suite - dimora affrescata del '500 a pochi passi dall'Acquario

Great location in the middle of the old city of Genova, lovely and welcoming host, beautiful old palazzo with incredible floors and ceilings, excellent modern design. The apartment is well equipped and packed with almost everything you need as a tourist. Lounge area is huge and very comfortable, there is Nespresso machine (with 4 capsules, but still smth). Washing machine was helpful.

For me it was absolutely uncomfortable. There is almost no soundproofing in this 16 century palazzo. And if during the day or in the morning I loved having my coffee in the living room with open windows and feel like I'm sitting in my private piazza, during the night it was not lovely at all. The sounds of the old city which never sleeps (Nigerian mafia, street cleaning, police etc) come to your bedroom even with closed windows. But I couldn't close it because as I was informed during the check in there is a small problem with the A/C. But it turned out that it was completely broken. It was incredibly loud (up to 160 db) and smth like 1 litre of water come out when you turn it off. And no cooling at all. So I had 2 sleepless nights. Hope the problem will be resolved soon, but really think twice because with all modern amenities it is still an ancient palazzo with all pro and contras. Would be nice to have more attentive cleaning, shampoo&shower gel in enough quantities, a good iron (I loved the steamer, but iron is a must). Pillows for me was too small.

The apartment was stunning: peaceful, refurbished meticulously and packed with history (yet still with all mod cons, including a washing machine). The surrounding neighbourhood was lively and interesting, the best restaurants a hop and a skip away. Silvia was extremely helpful and kind, we couldn’t have asked for more! If you’re planning a trip to Genoa or looking for a pit stop on your way to the Ligurian coast, this should be your first pick.

I didn't feel very safe in the location. But I am a female, a male or couple may feel perfectly safe. It was in the heart of the city, few blocks from the pier, someone wanting a vibrant city location would probably love it.

Beautiful property in the historical centre

The interior space how everything was renovated with care, large bedrooms, with comfy beds. The kitchen is also fully equipped. Will keep this accomodation close for future visits in Genoa.
