Royal Village Hotel

The location of the venue is really convenient to those looking for a central place to stay within Dar.

The room I was given had cockroaches and the place looked old compared to the photos online. I was later requested to move to another room since they needed to do fumigation and it was even worse with no carpet making the room cold and bad bed with a stained bedsheet broken toilet and towels that smelled of cockroaches. When I complained I was told the available rooms were for guests who were coming to the hotel the following day and when I insisted is when I was taken to a nice room that even had a hot kettle and fridge. So does it mean there are special rooms for specific people? Staff at times were snobbish but ran around when a white guest called them.

The staff didn't take things to serious. This was our second stay but when there is a problem they don't care much. We had a issue with the toilet not working we asked for someone to come. They didn't more than 24 hrs.. We fixed ourselves. Same as our shower didn't work. It sprayed the roof. We asked many times and were told it would be fixed and wasn't until we contacted the manager. The manager was great but the staff need to care more to keep the hotel to a good standard for the manager
