It was beautiful, comfortable and warm and the view is sensational, you could sit for hours just looking out, Declan even had a Christmas tree and little decorations dotted around 😀 it really made our time there wonderful and every utensil was there in the kitchen to sort out a full Christmas dinner and a dishwasher for added bonus 😀

Traumhafte Lodge - Privatsphäre und Ruhe pur! Clare und Declan sind perfekte Gastgeber: Respektieren die Privatsphäre – sind aber umgehend präsent, wenn man Fragen hat. Die Lodge ist mit viel Liebe gestaltet und hat eine optimale Raumaufteilung. Sehr saubere und moderne Badezimmer. Große Terrasse und ein spektakulärer Ausblick vom Wohn-Esszimmer! Die Heizung bietet optimalen Komfort (nicht immer selbstverständlich in anderen Cottages bei einem Herbsturlaub...). Ich habe es besonders genossen, im warmen Wohn-Esszimmer zu sitzen und am Notebook zu arbeiten. Bei dieser Traumkulisse wird Arbeiten zur Erholung. Zum Pub in Glenkolumbkil sind es überschaubare 10 Autominuten. Empfehlung: John Eoninin´s! Ausgezeichnete Fish&Chips und supernette Bedienung. Silver-Strand-Lodge ist unsere Topempfehlung für Irlands Cottages!

WiFi kan iets beter.

This place is spectacular. Waking up to that view and having such a beautiful modern home for 3 weeks was a dream come true. Its warm (on a sunny day almost too warm!) and the kitchen works great and there is a bathroom for each bedroom. The hosts are absolutely lovely and the sheep neighbours all around are great company. This is an idyllic location and close to walking paths, beach, climbing cliffs, and a fun and gorgeous drive to close by towns. If you are lucky enough to book this place, you will be very happy. I figured out how to connect my YouTube and Netflix accounts as well on the TV. The patio with clothes wires for drying on the fence is a huge bonus if the weather allows you to eat outside.

A few things missing: Mixing bowl or salad bowl, large sharp knife, whisk. Would be perfect to have a dimmer switch on the living room lights or warmer lightbulbs. The weather was so hot that the lack of blinds made it very hot inside during the day, but then the door could be open if one is okay with some flies. I loved everything!!

We struggled with directions at the final stage, but even if they were the best instructions in the world, we would have struggled. We also are a bit behind the times and don't have email on our phones, though we are on Whatsapp.
