Very spacious and nice apartment, felt homey right away! Beautiful private garden, quiet area and well located. Was the Ideal place to stay for us (couple with a baby). Very kind and flexible hosts. Would recommend to everyone going to Lucca. Thanks Laura and Nicola

Everything. Really unique ground floor apartment in an 17th tenement block on the outskirts of the old town, near the Porta Santa Maria gate. The living/dining area is massive and stylishly furnished, with many fittings looking like they are bespoke to fit in with the room layout, with a glass divide to the kitchen, which contained everything we needed during our stay. Leading off from the living area is a small private garden, with sitting and barbecue areas and vines around the door. The bedroom contains a nice sized double bed and plenty of cupboard space. Everything was clean and conmfortable. The area is quiet, although about 200m away the main shopping thoroughfare of the old town starts with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Just at the Medieval gate on Via Michele Rosi we found a little Grocer, Deli and Baker which looked like something from Puccini's time and smelt fantastic. Got everything for food and drink we needed there. Whole place is thoroughly recommended

Nothing. Although if I could offer some advice the additional provision of a clothes horse and washing up basin might be helpful. In the absence of a dishwasher, doing the dishes for two of us in the massive sink seemed to use a lot of hot water. Also, as we were hiking during the day (and the weather was unusually rainy) we tended to get wet. In fine weather this wouldn't be a problem, as you'd hang stuff in the garden to dry, but in the wet a clothes horse would've been good.

We loved our apartment it was spacious and felt homely , it really was one of our favourite accommodations as we are traveling around Italy and have stayed in many different places.Great location for exploring Lucca Thankyou Laura and Nicola

Tranquility. Very comfortable. Comfortable bed comfortable space.

No biggie but no iron. And it would have been nice to have a shelf or something of the like in the shower for soap and shampoo. Not a deal breaker by any means.
