El Boussouni Hostel

The hosts here are the most genuine Moroccans you will encounter. Friendly throughout my engagements. Nothing too much for them. They have great knowledge of their Country and are happy to share. They know the best places to eat, the best excursions , taxi service, airport shuttles - they can take care of it all. The breakfast was a fantastic addition too. The toilets and showering facilities, though shared, are of a European standard and the areas clean and hygienic. The icing on the cake - LOCATION. You can get Line19 Alsa bus from Marrakesh airport to Bab Doukkala. Walk through the arch into the Medina, turn left and follow the wall up about 500m, then turn right. Follow your nose and it brings you right to the hostel. (Google maps works too👍)

Some travellers need to remember that some of us don't want to hear them on their phones gone 1am. The notification sounds from their WhatsApp was sounding throughout the night (put them on silent!) On my last night, fellow traveller on the upper bunk was being disrespectful in that he felt he needed to enjoy his own company wall watching him phone - I won't say anymore! Thank you to another traveller whom told him "Hey Mann! Hör auf damit!!! Clearly these comments should not take away any of the positives. It is likened to Russian Roulette staying at hostels, as you never know whether or not you will get dudes like above - though in my experience they are the minority.

Really great location. Extremely friendly staff, helped us even before we arrived with logistics over whatsapp. Even made us breakfast to take away because we had to leave before breakfast opened. Facilities are clean and what you expect for a hostel. Just pack earplugs because you can hear everything happening outside your room. The airport shuttle is a bit expensive, but easily organized and therefore we were ready to pay that. 15€ for a person during the day, 20 during night time and 20 if it's multiple people. We always felt very safe as girls staying here.

Amazing breakfasts, simple, yet well-equipped room, nice spaces for hanging out with others, quiet (especially at night = good sleep), comfortable bed, place to store my luggage with a lock (i had my own, but it might be possible to rent, but i am not sure), easy communication in English or French, i felt safe there. I appreciate good description how to find it send me via message. The access to roof is a fantastic bonus.
