Battle Mountain Inn

Check in staff was great & the place is pet friendly. The facility is really old, stale smelling & could have been cleaner. The Wi-Fi didn’t work but there was plenty of hot water. For the money, we weren’t expecting much, so we weren’t disappointed.

I last visited this motel 35 years ago. They noe have 2 building. We were first put in the old building. I'd give it a 5. Because of problems we were moved to the new building. Would give it a 9. No breakfast. The lady in the office was a great help.

The accommodations for disabled people was horrible. They had plenty of empty room available and they would move my parents to a lower level and instead they were forced to stay upstairs on the second floor with no elevator and feasible access.

We showed up 3:30, check in is at 3, nobody was there. We had to call a number and wait for someone to show up. At 5:45 we went to get ice but the machine was broken so we went to the office where somebody was waiting to check in and said they had to call because nobody was there. Heat is only on or off, no way to set it so it will turn off or on when it gets to certain temperature.

Front desk was nice and accommodating….room was filthy and old. I read a review that said better than jail…it was for sure.

I didnt like booking througb expedia. They said the property was pet friendly but didnt mention the additional charge for the pets. Not a big deal but kinda disappointing when everything is paid for then show up to the front desk to pay more.

There was no one at the hotel for over half an hour and it was 5:30. The doors were locked. I rang the bell. Called the number they had posted which was disconnected. Call the number on line. It was just a machine. Call hotels.com for refund which they were doing when guy finally showed up and let us check in.
