After making a reservation, even though we entered all the required information on Booking, the property asked us to provide all our passport details again and even requested a selfie for their system. We didn’t quite understand the necessity of the selfie request. After landing, we took bus number 949, which has only one stop. From there, it takes approximately 25-30 minutes to walk to the property. Upon check-in, the cleanliness of the house was very poor. Everything was extremely dusty; we had to buy cleaning wipes ourselves and clean the bed frames, bedside tables, the dining table, and the bathroom radiator. The floors were also dirty, so we had to sweep them as well. For a 4-night stay, having only one bath towel, three rolls of toilet paper, and no trash bin in the bathroom were definite downsides. Lastly, the overall communication was rude and dismissive. Our messages were not properly acknowledged. In Rome, the host of our previous stay was very helpful, providing recommendations for places and attractions. Unfortunately, this experience was quite the opposite and left us disappointed.

sometimes I found people outside in the door of the street smoking crack! doesn’t looks nice, special if you have family!

The central location is convenient, and the bathroom is small but good with a nice warm shower.

Probably in other seasons, I would have liked this place better. Now, I have to say it was cold in the apartment and an extra blanket would have been welcome. There’s no regular heating, but one can turn on the air conditioning (generating quite some noise) to warm the place. The pots in the kitchen have likely been used on gas, as I noticed they don’t have a flat surface and therefore don’t work well on the electric hob provided. Although the location is in city center and Bologna is generally a safe place, I was happy someone could accompany me home at night as the street is silent but used by some people to hang around.
