Place had a slight damp smell and would have been better off with a little more TLC.

It's a bit quirky and probably not my taste but we really enjoyed staying here and it's a great location. Handy for the town and train station. Plenty of parking (has to be paid for). Great for dogs near the south beach.

Great location for the beach and town, lovely garden area to sit out with dogs, got a lot of sunshine, when it was out. Towels for the dogs, treats and blankets, Ray especially liked the lilac fluffy one. Lots of local information in the folders and a specific one for dog information. Sofa and chair were comfortable as was the bed. Lots of quirky items to took at in the flat, there was one toy soldier in the bathroom that freaked me out a little though 😅 Large fridge and freezer. Didn't use oven during stay. Although a thin flat the main area is open so there was plenty of room for two adults and three dogs.

There were no hooks for coats, towels, leads etc anywhere, which would have been useful when we got soaked in the rain to hang out coats and just to keep leads handy. There was nowhere to store shoes, could do with a rack alongside hooks in the sunroom area. Couldn't find a airer to hang towels out. The garden area is lovely but it could benefit from being more secure for dogs. In anticipation of this we took along our dog fence which worked great to block in the top grassy area and was also handy to hang wet towels over. There were some problems with the fabric of the flat which seemed to be long term due to water ingress. The door to the living room had come away due to rotten wood. The owner was quick to come and check the damage and assured us a joiner was booked in to fix the problem, which to be fair is somewhat out of their control. Overall the flat is looking tired and would probably benefit from a spruce up which could be undertaken whilst the water damage issues is being resolved. It doesn't effect the use of the flat, just think it would benefit. To be honest as dog owners itis generally a relief if places are not too perfect, but might not be the case for non dog people. We noticed a problem with the washing machine which was full of dirty water, this was reported and presumably sorted out. The shower over the bath is fixed height and hubby had to bend down to use. We couldn't get the heating to work properly the radiators wouldn't get warm leaving us with wet towels and coats after a downpour. Overall the dogs had a brilliant time and didn't care one jot about any of the above and we the staff are just along for the ride, they are the important ones in our household and the flat is fantastic for dogs.
