Scenic Drive Resort

We were VERY happy with our cabin. While this is an older property, the interior of the cabins were completely updated. The long dirt driveway is nearly a two-track under a heavily wooded canopy - perfect for a cabin in the woods. There is a parking spot right next to each cabin. A short walk gets you to a small lookout platform above the beautiful, clean, white sand beaches of Lake Michigan. A stairway led down to the beach for swimming or just enjoying the sun. The weather was VERY hot but the SW breeze off the big lake combined with a decent Air Conditioner to keep us cool. The property provided several floor fans to move the cool air from the living room into the bedroom and that worked great.

There were some minor cleanliness issues such as a used q-tip in the corner of the living room and a loose candy wrapper under the table (which probably fell out of a garbage bag unnoticed during the cleaning process), but on the whole, it was well kept. I'd STRONGLY recommend that the property owner rebuild the stairway down to the beach. It is long, steep and has developed signs of aging including a noticeable "lean" forward. While this is fairly common on a personal property, it really needs to be improved for commercial use. I'd be nervous going down those stairs if I had any mobility issues at all. Better stairs and a landing halfway down would be a huge win. We did experience a toilet clog that took some effort to clear - but this is typical of old "northwoods" plumbing.

Locatuon

The Boho house was comfortable, clean and spacious. My son loved the climbing wall in the basement. Beds were super comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed and the little extras, like Kcups and coffee grounds were a nice touch and appreciated. The resort itself was very quiet and relaxing. Incredible sunset view from the beach.

The stairs to the beach seemed quite steep and a little slippery

The shower - really hard to wash the sand off. But as I read they are planning a full renovation of the bathroom.

Great Location right on Lake Michigan. Nice outside area and a lot for the kids to do.

A washer and dryer would be a great addition

The property was awesome. Loved how close it was to the beach and that it was a little off the beaten path. Exactly what we needed. The fire pit, playground, everything was fantastic. The rock wall was a huge hit with my kids too! Overall, it was perfect.

I loved how close the property was to the lake. The cabin was cozy and nicely decorated. We had everything we needed for our stay. The property is secluded and full of nature!
