Home Sol Guesthouse

I originally planned to stay in Langkawi for just one week, but after only a few days at Home Sol Guesthouse, I already knew I wanted to extend my stay. In the end, I stayed for almost an entire month, which says everything about how comfortable and welcome I felt here. From the moment I arrived, Home Sol felt like a home away from home. The guesthouse is beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful details, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The communal lounge area is the heart of the place – a comfortable, shaded space with fans where it’s easy to meet other travellers, have great conversations, or simply relax. There are also plenty of quieter corners if you want some time to yourself. The dorms are among the best I have ever stayed in. They are cool, dark, and surprisingly peaceful, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep. The atmosphere among guests is very respectful and relaxed, which makes a huge difference in a shared dorm. The location is excellent as well. Although it’s in the Pantai Cenang area, it is tucked away just enough to offer a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere while still being close to the beach, restaurants, cafés, and everything else you might need. Scooter rental is available directly at the guesthouse for fair prices, and the team is always happy to share recommendations and local tips. What truly makes Home Sol special, however, are the people. The volunteers, manager, owners, and everyone involved create an incredibly welcoming environment and genuinely care about the guests. Their kindness, helpfulness, and positive energy are a huge part of why this place feels so special and why so many guests end up extending their stay. Home Sol is much more than just a guesthouse – it’s a place where people connect, feel at home, and create lasting memories. I arrived planning to stay for one week and left almost a month later. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Great location, and price considering the location. The dorm and bathroom was as I expected based on the booking description. AC was good in the room. Water pressure and heat were also good. Generally quiet at night.

Stairs to get to top bunk are dangerous. Small steps with no handrail, and bottom step is covered by the bottom bunk mattress, so it has to be skipped. Im short, so I slipped one night (not drunk) coming down and cut my arm on the adjoining bunk trying to stop the fall. Another girl did the same thing a few days later. No respect for non-smokers, even many staff were constantly smoking. The common room and the side couch/hammock was almost always occupied by smokers. Only one person over 5 days asked if I minded their smoke. After 4 days, I had asthma/cough and painful sinuses from secondhand smoke exposure.

Staff were so helpful with a range of advice , a very relaxed stay. It's kept very clean too.

Pillows were a bit thin but still slept well.

I really enjoyed staying here! It’s conveniently located, clean, comfortable and the staff was fantastic. They have scooters you can rent for $10 a day and I really enjoyed riding around Langkawi! There’s a restaurant called The Smiling Buffalo that’s about a 20 minute walk away but it’s very well worth the walk!

A place that makes you feel at home immediately. Cozy commun area and chill people around. Dorms and beds are so confy. Close to beach and good local Restaurants

I had private room. Very comfortable bed .good shower. Water pressure not brilliant. But sufficient. Hot and cold water available 24 hours. Free coffee. Nice vibe around the place .ideal for solo traveler. Close to everything you need 7/11.beach.and lots of good restaurants within. 5 minutes walk
