This hotel is exceptionally good value for money. Good generous breakfast, quiet rooms, lunch and dinner options. It leans into the jungle/rainforest cave vibe. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, as well as knowledgeable and helpful - eg tipped us to change one of our safaris to a different park to see more elephants due to the rain and flooding. We arrived early, straight off the plane and were welcomed and made comfortable. We spent two nights, doing Sigiriya at sunset, Pidurangula at sunrise, Dambulla cave temple and Hurulu eco parl safari, before heading on to Kandy. Great start to our holiday.

So one thing about the rainforest is that when it rains, it is very humid, which we found difficult so not so much something we didn’t like but more something to be aware of! We would come back for sure (but armed with a rain jacket)!

The location is very good and all the staff of veeeery kind and always willing to help or give advices. Food is delicious and they take care to not make it too spicy. Special kuddos to Asitha for the Pidruangala sunrise and the tour we did together ! Wish you all the team the best !
