Fisherman's Cottage

A lovely property in an excellent, quiet location, with superb views of the sea. A home from home with everything you could want and lovely furnishings. Hosts were excellent and we just loved it here.

The quaint cottage we rented on the Scottish coast was a delightful retreat. Its clean interior and cozy furnishings provided a comfortable home away from home. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking sea view, which offered a serene backdrop to our peaceful days. A short drive to Edinburgh allowed us to easily attend the Fringe Festival, while the quiet town provided a much-needed respite from the bustling city.

Clean...good homely atmosphere for four... nice sea view...located close to a bus stop and a couple of take aways. Kitchen was well equipped. Heating worked well! The rooms, sheets, towels were very clean.

Advertised as "two bathrooms" one of them was virtually usable. Tiny, with a big hole in the door instead of a door knob! All four of us had to manage in one bathroom. This was not good at all! 👎 Also, there were cobwebs on the grills outside. The bus ride to Edinburgh city centre was quite long... one hour!

Musty smell, very cluttered with old furniture and knickknacks. Stairs up to property very steep and uneven. Nothing much within walking distance. Although it was next to sea, the view could only be seen when standing at sink. Parking in street got crowded after 6.30 pm.

Lovely sea view towards Fife and the local harbour from this comfortable flat that was a good base to explore Edinburgh and North Berwick. The train from nearby Prestonpans took us into Edinburgh Waverley station in 14 minutes which was a relaxed way to get into Edinburgh.

New battery ideally needed for gas hob self-ignition as we had to go to local Co-op to find matches to light the gas.

Very spacious rooms. All home comforts. Well equipped kitchen.

Great location for us visiting family. Quiet in the evenings. We liked the Thorntree a couple of doors away. We really appreciated the early bag drop!

We were given wrong key for apartment but Harry was able to sort this out immediately as soon as we contacted him.
