The hotel seems to be making an effort to move away from its business hotel image, particularly by banning smoking and welcoming different types of travellers. Efforts are made to ensure comfort: a choice of pillows is available, also a welcome drink in the lobby and plentiful towels, nightwear and amenities. Rooms have a kettle and mini fridge. I liked the new laundry facility with washing machines and dryers. I upgraded my room and it was large, very quiet with a sunny outlook. Only Japanese is spoken but staff were efficient and happy to use Translate when I wanted to send my suitcase on. I liked the position of the hotel, convenient and walkable for both port and station.

Carpet was a little stained.
