The Nestorian Syros

Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet! Es gab eine Speisekarte zum Auswählen der frisch zubereiteten Spezialitäten, die sehr köstlich waren. Die Lage direkt hinter der Kirche und unweit des Stadtstrandes ist sehr gut. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und wir wurden sehr zuvorkommend betreut. Alles in Allem ein sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel, das wir jederzeit wieder wählen würden.

A true gem! This charming boutique hotel is perfectly located—just a short, peaceful walk from the port, yet steps away from great restaurants. The hotel is a beautifully renovated mansion with impeccable design and spacious, well-appointed rooms. The incredible breakfast and genuine, caring staff made our stay unforgettable. A special thanks to the reception team for a truly personalized touch and accommodating our needs when our ferry was cancelled . Such gestures of kindness in moments of desperation will never be forgotten.

Being spoiled by their hospitality and genuine generosity

This charming boutique hotel exceeded all my expectations. Its location is absolutely perfect: a serene 12-minute walk from the port, nestled in a calm neighborhood with no street noise. Yet, dozens of excellent restaurants and cafes are just a five-minute stroll away. The hotel is a stunningly renovated mansion, and it's clear the owner has a meticulous eye for design. My room was not only spacious and well-lit but also equipped with every amenity imaginable, including a Nespresso machine, ironing board, and a small fridge. The attention to detail, from the high-quality toiletries to the thoughtfully chosen bedding, made for an incredibly comfortable stay. The bed and pillows were simply divine. The daily breakfast was a delight—a fantastic, homey selection complemented by a menu of delicious hot breakfast options. The staff, however, are the heart of this hotel. Their professionalism and genuine warmth were remarkable. Unlike the forced politeness you sometimes find at larger hotels, their smiles were authentic. They went out of their way to be helpful, and one moment truly stood out: after a brief chat about visiting a nearby village, a kind lady at the reception had taken the time to hand-write the bus schedule and directions for us. This act of kindness speaks volumes about their dedication. What also adds to the hotel's charm is its genuinely inclusive atmosphere. It’s a place where every guest is treated with the same warmth and respect, creating a safe and welcoming environment for all. We loved our stay so much that we decided to extend it by two more nights. If you value a place where comfort and genuine care go hand-in-hand, this is the hotel for you.

Their comfortable rooms that make you want to stay and not to go out.

We stayed 7 nights at Nestorian House in Ermoupoli, right at the heart of Syros, and it was a truly enjoyable experience. The location is excellent as it is just a very short walk of about two or three minutes from Vaporia beach. Although it is more of a concrete pier with ladders than a sandy beach, the sea there is amazing and the easy access makes it perfect for a quick morning swim before heading back to your room. The hotel itself is small and charming with only a few rooms, beautifully renovated in a traditional style. Breakfast was lovely and intimate, fitting perfectly with the boutique atmosphere. Our room was on the entrance level with a spacious balcony and a jacuzzi. Although the jacuzzi was complicated to use and we did not really enjoy it, the balcony itself was very nice. The room size was impressively large and the bathroom was exceptionally comfortable with a big shower area and plenty of space to settle in. Storage and closet space were more than enough which made our stay even easier. Service was also a highlight. The staff were very kind and even took care of our laundry, returning everything clean and ironed, which was extremely convenient during our longer trip. Another big advantage is parking. While finding a spot in Ermoupoli can be challenging, the hotel has its own small garage that fits around four or five cars. By informing them in advance, we had secure parking right under the hotel which was a huge relief. Overall, Nestorian House is a charming boutique stay in the heart of Ermoupoli. With its excellent location, spacious rooms, thoughtful staff, and practical conveniences like parking, it made our Syros trip very comfortable. We would definitely come back and stay here again.

Everything was perfect!

Το ξενοδοχείο βρίσκεται σε προνομιακή θέση καθώς είναι πολύ κοντά στο θέατρο, στην πλατεία Μιαούλη, δίπλα στην εκκλησία του Αγίου Νικολάου. Με λίγα λεπτά περπάτημα φτάνεις στα Βαπόρια. Οι άνθρωποι του ξενοδοχείου χαμογελαστοί και ευγενικοί. Το δωμάτιο αρκετά μεγάλο και άνετο, καλόγουστο όπως στις φωτογραφίες. Το μπαλκόνι δεν είχε κάποια εξαιρετική θέα αλλά τουλάχιστον υπήρχε. Το πρωινό πολύ καλό ειδικά η ομελέτα healthy που θα τη βρεις ως επιλογή στο menu.

Θα ήθελα να εστιάσουν λίγο περισσότερο στο θέμα της καθαριότητας. Το ξενοδοχείο (δωμάτιο και κοινόχρηστοι χώροι) γενικώς ήταν τακτοποιημένο και καθαρό αλλά η λεπτομέρεια κάνει τη διαφορά. Πάντα υπάρχει περιθώριο βελτίωσης στο θέμα της καθαριότητας.

Ευγενέστατη η ιδιοκτήτρια και το προσωπικό και όλοι πολύ εξυπηρετικοί, φανταστικό το δωμάτιο και πολύ ωραίο όλο το ξενοδοχείο, χτισμένο σε εκπληκτικό σημείο.

Το μόνο που θα μπορούσα να πω είναι το πρωινό γεύμα θα μπορούσε να γίνει πιο πλούσιο, κατά τ'άλλα εξαιρετική εμπειρία η διαμονή μάς εδώ.

Τοποθεσία, ευγένεια προσωπικού και ιδιοκτήτριας, καθαριότητα, προσοχή στη λεπτομέρεια, υπέροχα φροντισμένα πρωϊνά, και μια διάχυτη καλαισθησία και μέριμνα για τα πάντα.
