The Schooner Tavern

Es una taberna preciosa y muy acogedora se sirve buena comida y unos desayunos excelentes. Las habitaciones tienen todo lo que necesitamos. No se escuchaba nada de ruido a pesar de dormir encima de la taverna. Su personal es muy amable y paciente ya que mi inglés no es muy bueno pero nos han acogido super bien.

No puedo decir nada porque me encantó todo.

No evening meal available on Wednesdays and breakfast was very slow.

İ want to stay in a pub, said my spouse. Near the sea. The Schooner Tavern ticked both boxes, with a friendly publicam, great location, and superb breakfasts. We would truly go back again

Manque de penderie

The room was small but very clean and comfortable. It had TV and tea making facilities. The bar/ lounge serves dinner from 5pm . This is a busy place for dining. The food is good, solid, well cooked food and very reasonable. We had Hake. €17.50 pp with ample salad and fries and slaws etc. it was excellent. Breakfast provided a cooked meal and or cereals/juices,/ homemade brown bread/toast. There's a bar across the road which has very loud/music and busy until 1am at weekends. However it didn't bother us and we slept well. Best ask for a room at the back. The proprietor of the Schooner was very attentive and looked after our every need. We found this a handy location for a concert at the Grainstore at Ballymaloe.

Ballycotton itself needs an uplift. There's really not a lot going on. Three or four bars. Buildings look jaded.

Had a cheeky couple of days in Ballycotton. Breakfast excellent, service brilliant.
