Mendip Edge Retreat

Loved the location in Farrington Gurney. 5 mins walk to Co op and local inn. 10 mins walk to Farmhouse cafe and produce. 5 mins drive to Tesco. Very clean and well presented by Tracey our host. Set in a lovely location, overlooking fields and set back from the main road. Private gated driveway. Accomodation linked to host home, no issues with that arrangement. Comfy bed and seating. Great views from the rear. Plenty of walks in and around. Used it as a base for the Bath and West show and to visit places in and around the area.

Lovely hosts. Very warm, friendly and welcoming. The house has everything you could want. Clean, tidy and organised. Lovely sitting outside on the terrace in the sun watching the cows in the fields. And sometimes the dog on the lawn!

Absolutely stunning, lovely location, excellent host, immaculately clean & tidy throughout, great privacy, comfy L shaped sofa, nice big wall mounted flat screen TV and the best thing.... a spare HDMI lead to plug in a Laptop easily so we could watch our own films on the TV.

Everything about this place is lovely! Wonderful host, perfect location for my trip, lovely views from the garden and beautifully clean, warm and comfortable. I couldn't have asked for more.

Excellent location for exploring local area such as Wells, Glastonbury and Cheddar. Local Farm Shop and Cafe short walk away. Well maintained, clean cottage facing nice rural views.

Adjacent to very busy road although this did not detract from our stay.

A lovely place to stay that was comfortable and really clean.

This place was so lovely, we only stayed for a night, but really wished we could have stayed for longer. “Retreat” is the best word for this place as it feels like an escape from the normal busy life.

That we only stayed for one night

We were able to book for Christmas Day night which was very convenient. Tracey (host) welcomed us at the gate in filthy weather and was friendly and helpful before our stay when planning arrival etc.

Me and my partner really enjoyed our stay here! The lady who owns the property was really friendly and inviting and told us a few things we could do around the surrounding area to enjoy our stay even more. The facility was amazing and very cosy. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here and I’ll certainly be back to visit again!
