Jasmine Guest Suite

For those who seek for a place to rest and in the middle of the nature, this is it! Gill and her family were super lovely and the place is comfy and clean! We really enjoyed our stay!

Very good communication before we arrived at the property, on arrival met the owners and we're shown around the accommodation, was perfect for our needs. The place was fabulous, bed was very comfy, shower was excellent. There was a facility to sit outside but we preferred to sit in the sun room. We didn't use a car so had to rely on buses which can be few and far between in the west of the island. We walked down to the lighthouse, amazing cliff views, also walked up to the Levada Nova, over three days we walked it three times. Beautiful walks in either direction. There had been a serious forest fire in October and it's quite horrible to see the destruction that it caused. The owners allowed us to use their washing machine, we also had an accident with a bottle of wine that had been given as a arrival gift. It fell from the fridge and smashed. After all cleaned the area she gave us another. Made us really feel at home. Also have a really nice cat and dog. Overall great place with great people. Cheers definitely recommend and would use again. 😁😁

There could be more lighting in the kitchen.

It's a very nice place with everything that I needed to spend a satisfying week there. The kitchen area is well equipped and the bathroom was nice. The place is clean and well situated in relation to a couple of walks and the nearby town. The bedroom has all you need too, and the bed itself was comfortable. There's a nice, private little terrace that I didn't get to use because of the weather but I know that otherwise it would have been an ideal area to chill out in. The hosts were lovely - amongst the best I've had actually, and Gill was extremely helpful and accommodating on more than one occasion. They've a cute dog and cat there that I liked meeting and petting.

Nothing in life is perfect. The one negative for me is that there's a door that connects the bedroom to the hosts' house (and bedroom, I believe). It was always on my mind that any sound/noise that I or my phone would make would be heard on the other side, especially late, so I wasn't entirely comfortable when in there. However, this is just my own inhibitions, perhaps, and not something that would stop me from staying there again, as all in all, it's a really good place, that I'd fully recommend.

Our stay was unfortunately interrupted by the fires in the western part of Madeira who passed very close from Jasmine Suite. Danger, smoke, water cuts, electricity cuts... obliged us to find an other place, but Gill refunded us and did her best to make things as easy as possible for us. A great and trully lovely person.
