"Great escape into the country with the excitement of both leopard hunting and great home cooking"

10.0

A family run business and what a delightful family. The accommodation was as expected, the food was excellent - far better than expected - the gypsy safaris to find the leopards were great. We saw leopard on the morning safari but not in the evening one, however the scenery and views kind of compensated. The jeeps are always fun too. There isn’t much to do in the day in between safaris apart from a stroll round the village which is interesting. We enjoyed the lack of internet (the blessed mountains get in the way) but it’s worth bearing in mind if you have plans to make.

Slightly dodgy shower ….

"Beautiful Homestay with yummy food and attentive staff!"

10.0

Loves this property! The family were very attentive and gave us wonderful breakfasts and dinners with free refills. The property is a little hard to find and quite isolated but we were here for leopard safari so it still worked great.

Very nice property, beautyfull environnement, a bit away from the village. We had 3 safaries with the owner and his son , 2 in full rain, but we saw one Leopard and the landscape was outstanding. All in all we felt a bit isolated and the home made dinner and lunch were too exoensive compared to the many experiences we had on our long trip throught North India.

We loved the hospitality and generosity of the guesthouse family! Also, the safari was great - not only did we see a leopard and lots of peacocks, but the green rocky landscape is wonderful. Roaming around the nearby rural village, we were warmly greeted by the inhabitants.

Jawai as a place offers limited options that are either extremely expensive or affordable but too basic. Jawai leopard villa offers a great balance between the two. Homestay was extremely comfortable with clean, spacious room and home cooked delicacies. Bathrooms were also well maintained and functional with hot and cold water The family is courteous and helpful. We did our safari with them and had a great experience. Not only did they chase the best points to ensure we see leopards ( we saw 4- a mum with 3 cubs)but also allowed the time to sit and enjoy the scenic beauty of the dam, while sharing many a stories about the village, the people and leopards. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable stay

"Best JAWAI Homestay"

10.0

If you want to experience true JAWAI...this is the right property. The owner drove us to the safari and we believe we had the best sighting of the leopards. Irrespective of the safari is the offloading in the rocky hillocks surrounding Jawai Dam. The home cooked food was exceptional and deserves special mention 😋

"Great family homestay...and leopards! 🐆"

10.0

We really enjoyed staying at this relaxing family run homestay. The room was comfortable, clean & spacious with a nice big new bathroom (including hot water)! Airco and ceiling fan kept us nice and cool. There is a great roof terrace which has a lovely view of the rocks where you go on leopard safari, we were able to have our meals (breakfast & dinner) served up there and could watch the local birdlife. It's in a small village and is probably the quietest place we slept in our whole India trip. We also did a morning and afternoon safari where we managed to see a leopard. The safari was excellent (driver, vehicle & spotter). We recommend this place.

Not negatives - just a couple of things to note... There is no sign on the gate, but the booking.com map has it marked on exactly the right place - if you tell the accommodation your arrival time they'll be looking out for you. We ordered meals from the property - not sure where you'd eat otherwise.
