My one-week stay was probably the loveliest hostel stay I have ever had! Thank you Sasha and Chris for being such nice and helpful hosts, you are amazing. The dog and the cat are lovely, the installations (beds, chilling area, kitchen...) are very good, bbq nights were amazing, the location is great ... Could not be happier!!

Great place to stay in Tofo and meet other travelers. It is very well located, less than 3 minutes walk from the main market, and 1 minute walk from the beach. Sascha and Chris, the owners, are very welcoming and helpful. There is good wifi, the private room I had was clean and convenient, with a big mosquito net. The shared kitchen is very convenient and well furnished.

Le dortoir ne comportait que 4 lits au total. Le calme, le fait d'avoir fait la connaissance de quelques personnes sympas parmi les voyageurs.

Le comportement des hôtes : peu amicaux et chaleureux. Le fait qu'il n'y ait qu'un seul WC femmes et une douche femmes. Pareille pour les hommes. Il y avait 3 chambres privées avec salle de bains et WC privatifs certaines de ces personnes ainsi que les hôtes utilisaient ces WC alors que nous étions 4 personnes sensées en faire l'usage seulement. Pas de vue sur la plage, pas d'ambiance du tout, certaines personnes ne disaient même pas bonjour et les hôtes étaient très distants, voire arrogants. L'hôte s'est permis de venir dans la cuisine lorsque je préparais mon repas et de peindre le mur en plaçant le sceau de peinture au-dessus de la planche à découper avec des aliments. Soit disant les murs étaient salis par les mains des voyageurs... Il me prenait à parti pour critiquer les hôtes de manière générale. Aussi, lorsque j'étais à table un jour en train de manger l'hôte, Chris s'est senti autorisé à critiquer la boisson que je buvais prétendant qu'un jour un voyageur l'avait mis dans son frigo mal bouchée, que c'était dégoûtant, etc... Les vacances au calme ce n'est pas comme cela que je l'entends. La quantité d'escaliers à monter avant d'arriver à l'auberge. Mon bus est arrivé en retard et la nuit c'était compliqué de voir le chemin pour parvenir à l'auberge. Je n'ai pas eu droit aux explications des lieux car il était déjà 19 h contrairement aux autres hôtes qui arrivent avant ! J'ai dû remplir moi-même leur book de réservation avec le numéro de passeport etc, alors que je venais de voyager plus de 8 heures. Le fait que les hôtes nous fassent comprendre qu'ils ne veulent pas faire ce qu'ils font, déléguer à quelqu'un de confiance et partir en voyage. Not my problem! Et cela se voit beaucoup qu'ils n'aiment pas ce qu'ils font.

I had the greatest time at Sascha's and Chris' place! I stayed in the private room with shared bathroom for roughly a month. The hostel is squeaky clean, has a beautiful garden with hammocks and seating areas which are also ideal for working remotely while sitting outside. It's only a short way down the stairs to the beach and centre ( which takes a bit longer on the way up 😅). I met so many interesting and fun people and had the best time in Tofo. Every other week there is a barbecue or pizza night on the terrace. I'll be back when the whalesharks are. 😏 Thanks for everything!

A cosy, clean and comfortable hostel, where you can feel like home

The structure is really nice and well maintained. Our room was clean and comfortable, beds have mosquito nets. There is a shared kitchen everybody can use, as well as a lovely garden. Sascha and Chris are extremely nice and helpful. And their dog and cat are so cute!
