Tourist Farm Škerlj

We absolutely loved this place. The family that owned the property was so nice and helpful. They even went out of their way to find a stable nearby for our horseback riding crazy kid. Pool was a lovely way to cool off. The apartment was nice and big, air conditioning was a nice plus on the warm days. We cooked on the one night the restaurant was closed, but opted for the dinners on the other nights, because the food was so good. The kitchen also accommodated our request for a vegetarian option. Location was great, close enough to the sites we wanted to see (Lipica, the coast, Trieste) but also a nice location in its own right. We took a walk every day down footpaths that led us past fields and vineyards.

Not a lot of kitchen utensils when we wanted to cook. Wifi didn't really work (in the end better for us, because it kept us off our devices).

Lovely traditional farm set in beautiful countryside in a lovely village. Amazing breakfast and excellent evening meals on offer at a really good price. Great swimming pool. Nice places to sit in the courtyard under the vines. Quiet at night. Lovely for small children to play.

The apartment lacked a few basics in terms of kitchen equipment. Some maintenance issues, such as plug socket in the bathroom not working. No mirrors in the bedrooms.
