Selecthotel Hạ Long

My experience at this hotel was truly awful. At check-in, the front desk gave me the wrong room type – I had booked a double bed, but was given a twin room. After I reported it, they did move me to the correct room. However, just a few hours later, while I was sleeping in the new room, a staff member suddenly opened my door and entered. I woke up shocked, and only then did the staff realize it was a mistake – but they said nothing and did not apologize. Even worse, around 1:30 AM, the receptionist opened my room again and let another guest walk in. I felt completely unsafe. I had no choice but to check out at 2 AM and find another hotel in the middle of the night. This was one of the most disturbing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel unless they seriously improve their staff training and start respecting guests’ safety and privacy.

no windows in one room and the other rooms window directly facing another building so minimal light and we paid extra for better rooms. we were too tired to argue
