Vila Gale Atlantico

The hotel is located in a picturesque, clean, safe residential neighbourhood, a 5-minute walk to the gorgeous Gale beach and a large, well-stocked supermarket. There are a few restaurants at the beach and some in the neighbourhood. The room we got was on the ground floor with no sea view. It was spacious, and the daily cleaning service was very good. The pool area had lots of sunbeds and umbrellas, and the children's pool and playground were very attractive and inviting for the little ones. The staff supervising the children's programs were kind and attentive.

We would have liked to get a room with a sea view. Our view was of a palm tree and a street. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room 07 did not work properly. It would stay on for a few minutes, then shut off. Luckily, during our May stay, the temperatures dropped in the evening, so the room was not too hot to sleep. The front desk was going to send in maintenance after our stay.

Large room very clean, good location 5 mins walk to Beach and Apolonia supermarket. Easy to get Uber or Bolt into Armacao de Pera for bigger restaurant selection. Great selection of food in restaurant with healthy choices.

View from room a bit grim of astroturf roof with air con machines on! All staff were nice apart from one man that worked on the entrance desk to the restaurant, he seemed to not like us and be rude for no reason! Also in the morning the childrens club would stand by the entrance to the restaurant and blast loud music into it??? Not sure why not school holidays and hardly any children there!
