it’s basic yet you got what you paid so that’s okay.

it’s creepy that the owner tried to keep my passport. she said it’s for check in🙄 isn’t that usually only take a photo and return it right away? i arrived in the morning, she asked for my passport and said i may have it back in the evening AND I REJECTED so we dealt let’s do the check in in the evening. in the evening i gave her my passport, after about 30mins i asked it back and she said she’ll give it to me in the morning don’t worry blablabla, i was too tired to argue then. but in the morning she wasn’t there, when i texted her she went “ohh you may go out no need to wait” and i went “I NEED MY PASSPORT BACK!!” finally she showed up but my passport cover weirdly warped. a totally untrustworthy person.

Quiet and comfortable

Nana is a wonderful host and strives to improve her hostel everyday. Beautiful hostel room with communal facilities, pool table, social area, and not too far from the city. Motorbike rental was easy, it was great to meet new people in a relaxed environment rather than a party hostel. We had some social night with a bbq where everybody pitched in and shared with each other, from buying produce in the local market with Nana, cooking and preparing dinner together, and cleaning up afterwards. The greatest experience I've had in a hostel so far - originally I booked for 7 nights, but stayed for 16 days total because of how great the experience had been.

I expected a hostel/dorm type place, that's what I got. [ N.B. Vietnam does not have much public transport. They say, Vietnam has more motorbikes than its population and that's true. Perhaps, except kids, everyone rides their own bikes. I didn’t know how to ride one, nor had the knowledge before I went!] Nana, the hostel owner, went her way out to actually drop me and pick me up when I needed to go out. The place is peaceful. It is her home, and she treats you like a guest as you appear. There isn’t probably anything that she doesn’t know or cannot help on the island. She can also help you with snorkelling, fishing, and other activities you wanna do there. She will also help you with the fare/prices of things if you are unsure about the right cost. I am sad that I didn’t get to spend a few more days there and wish to go back again sometime soon. And amidst all the chaos she deals in her life, I hope she finds love, care and affection for her hard-working self. She deserves so much more. Love you Nana, stay happy and healthy 💜

Though the roofless open shower/bathroom made me a little paranoid 😆 but decided to trust the travelers' good nature of respecting privacy 😇 That is one thing you have to adjust. So, ultimately there was nothing I can say I disliked. It is a backpacking hostel on an expensive island. So, you cannot just book hostel and expect it to be a hotel room!

The owner Nana is very helpful and hospitable.

Everything , Nana is the owner... she's very very very very funny , a brilliant personality, helpfull with a big heart. If one day I'll come back here, I ll be very happy to come back!!!!!!!!! Great prices ,for the room and bike. Could not expect for anything better. I enjoyed my stay. Wish all the best for her life.... Thanks Nana ❤️

Nana is a very organized person, she will help you with all .. bike, excursions, hospitals..😉can prepare dinner according to your wishes , fresh seafood, traditional Vietnamese food. You can also ask her if you need a laundry. Clean, but note that this is a hostel for easy travelers.. it will be fun and active there. Has fans and mosquito nets. Thank You Nana😘

Everything was OK. Nana is really very friendly, she helped me with everything.
