Layaali Amman Hotel

Good location for an overnight stay in Al Balad-old Amman side. Receptionists were helpful and Chef Mama catered us well during breakfast.

It would be good if the hotel could add more breakfast variety.

One of the worst hotel stays I have experienced. Before arrival, I contacted the hotel in writing about breakfast during Ramadan, explaining that my wife and I have medical conditions and requested breakfast privately in our room out of respect for the holy month. The hotel confirmed this in writing, and the message is attached. Upon arrival, this agreement was completely denied, preventing us from taking our medication on time. Reception staff were rude and unprofessional. The hotel uses open public key boxes instead of keeping keys behind the counter, creating a serious security risk. A request to purchase water at night was refused unless I came downstairs. The room was not clean and did not match the photos. There was broken glass in the window, posing a danger to our child. No proper wardrobe, missing bedside table, loud traffic noise, and strong chemical air fresheners worsened our health condition. We were forced to leave at 11:00 AM and then waited five hours on the street with our child. The hotel refused any late checkout discussion, even using the breakfast we had paid for but never received. Despite arriving late in the evening, no flexibility or basic hospitality was shown. We asked for only a small accommodation to take our medications and eat breakfast in private, which was fully reasonable. The lack of respect for medical and safety needs made the stay extremely stressful. Families with children or health considerations should be especially cautious. Additionally, the staff showed no concern for our repeated requests or the safety of our belongings. Basic hotel standards for cleanliness, security, and comfort were clearly ignored. The room layout and furniture were inadequate for any family stay. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing and unsafe for guests. This stay involved breach of agreement, safety risks, poor hygiene, and unacceptable treatment. I strongly advise future travelers to avoid this hotel.
