Lack of oven mitts or teatowels (to avoid burns). Providing cupboard staples like oil, salt and pepper would be a welcome improvement.

This apartment has some positives. It is in a good location near the Etruscan Arch and near Corso Garibaldi. It is quite large. It is in a historic building. The bathroom is modern. The bed is comfortable.

This apartment has some important things which are lacking. It does not have air conditioning. It does not have a washing machine or drier. It does not have an iron or ironing board. It is on a busy road meaning you need to keep the windows closed at night to avoid noise. The windows have double glazing which works effectively to keep noise out. But the combination of no air con and keeping the windows closed means the apartment stays quite warm on a summer night. At other times of the year this would be a non issue, but it is definitely something to think about if you are planning to rent this apartment in summer as I did. A lot of things did not work at this apartment. The microwave did not work. The coffee machine did not work. The wi-fi did not work. The TV did not work. When I raised the issue of the wi-fi with the owner, he said he’d contacted the phone company and they would look at it on Saturday (after my week long rental had ended.) When I asked why the TV did not work, he said it was the wi-fi. The owner was mildly apologetic that there were problems, but he did not seem to make any effort to fix them. Indeed, I got the sense that the owner had not really bothered to check that things were ok within the apartment before renting it. There were no plugs for the sinks in the bathroom or the kitchen. There were no batteries in what appeared to be the main remote for the TV. There were no notes explaining how the TV or the WiFi or the Coffee Machine or anything else in the apartment worked. In short, I found this apartment somewhat unsatisfactory. Six nights is quite a long time to be without the capacity to wash or iron clothes, or to watch TV, or indeed to have a broadband connection (beyond what you may have using your phone.) If you are only staying in Perugia for one or two nights these issues probably will not trouble you. But if you are planning a longer stay, I would not recommend this apartment.

Location was really convenient with very steep stairs leading to the apartment. Parking was ok, but it turned out to be very expensive. We were not informed ahead of time of some discounts available offered by the Chamber of Commerce and other institutions.

Overall was ok, but the heating system was not working, nor the hot water. The first night and morning were pretty rough until my travel partner (brother) fixed them both. The hosts were not present; they did respond to texts with some instructions on how to fix the heating , but nobody showed up to look into it, or make sure all was ok. It was particularly cold in Perugia those days.

It was at a perfect location, close enough to the centre.
