The house is spacious, clean and comfortable. All necessary amenities are included. The area is quite so it's a very nice place, especially for families.

Please note high and steep stairs leading to the upper level with bedrooms - not for people with reduced mobility. There is no floor in the kitechen area - just a concrete screed. For us it was quite uncomfortable. The bath and toilet is outside so you need to exit the house - very uncomfortable, especially during night. The kitchenware is poor - the frying pan was all covered with rust so that we could not use it.

The reasons we did not like the property: There are lots of bugs inside the property. We have bites and sister has the most bugs bites in her arms and legs. The stair is so steep. Each tread should be 11 inches run but at the property it’s only 5 inches. It was so hard to go up and down the staircase. My sister fell from the 3rd steps down ward. It was awful. The level from the kitchen to go up the dining room or living room is so high. At least there should be another step from the ground. Having the bathroom and shower room outside the house is not very good. It’s very inconvenient especially at night when it’s necessary to go. Lastly, someone went inside the house when we are away. Left an item at the table that does not belong to us. This is invading our privacy. It’s very poor marketing strategy. It’s very deceiving. I (we) are very disappointed and unhappy. I don’t recommend for others to stay here. We want our money back. Corazon La Rosa

Ideally would have given 7.5. Convenient location 1 stop from Kyoto Station. Very charming traditional house with lovely exposed timber beams on upper bedroom floor. Very detailed and thoughtful information provided to guests on applicances ect.

Even though this is a lovely old traditional house it would be good to communicate that the bathroom and toilet are accessed via the rear courtyard outside. The stairs are VERY steep so this may be a problem for those with mobility issues.

It was a nice traditional house, with western beds. Everything we need was available.

We travelled with a 1,5 year child. Due to the different levels in the house we had to watch him all the time. Also the stairs are very steep, and we were happy that he could not open the sliding doors himself.
