Sheran Safari House

We strongly recommend this place. Sheran and his family are a five star hosts. We had two wonderful nights at their house. Sheran is the best safari guide you can have, a genuine animal lover that knows Udawalawe National Park really well and can find a great variety of animals. We had the most amazing safari that we'll remember forever! At Sheran Safari House you can find a great family room, where 5 people fit, with a nice breakfast! They also have a nice cottage! During our stay, we also had a very good dinner prepared by Sheran's mother. We even managed to wash our clothes which was great. I also have to mention Sheran's father who was always available to help and greet us with a kind smile. We felt really welcomed by this family! If you need guidance to explore Sri Lanka ask Sheran, he will do everything to help and he's able to arrange for a driver in case of need. If you are looking for a genuine Sri Lanka's place to stay this is the place !

Such a beautiful place to stay, I’m sad it was only one night! Everything was clean and I was made to feel so welcome and cared for Honestly the best part of my stay was safari with Sheran - he knows so much about the animals and his care and love for them is so evident We saw so many elephants as well as crocodiles, deer, buffalo and lots of beautiful native birds Staying here is sooooo worthwhile and there are beautiful restaurants not far away too Thank you for a lovely stay xx

This was a great place to stay ahead of our Udawalawe Safari and to top it off, Sheran (the host) brought us on a private tour to the Safari and he is amazing at spotting everything and explaining what they are. We saw elephants, monkeys, crocodiles, eagles, loads of birds, deer, buffalo and plenty more!

This is a lovely place to stay. Spacious room with en-suite. Mosquito net provided. Copious breakfast. Sheran and his family really friendly and welcoming. Did a fantastic safari with Sheran would definitely recommend.

Everything was perfect!

We had an amazing stay! The rooms were clean and we had a lot of places to relax. The safari with Sheran was one of the best experiences we had in Sri Lanka (he was very good at spotting the details)!

Great stay in Udawalawa! Everything was perfect. The hosts, the food, the place. They are a very nice family, and Sheran can really show you around the safari. He has a better memory than an elephant when it comes to remembering birds and animals species and interesting facts about them.

We (two friends) came to Sheran Safari House because of the great reviews and we were not disappointed. It was low season, so we were the only guests during our stay. Sheran did everything in his power take make us feel welcome and at home. The room was very spacious with a big comfortable bed and excellent air conditioning. The safari with him including a lovely breakfast in the national park was an absolute highlight. In the afternoon, he took us to the elephant orphanage and later that night, we went out for dinner with one of his friends. He also organised our transport to and from his house. We highly recommend Sheran and would love to come back some time.
