Such a wonderful wonderful property. We absolutely loved our visit here and hope to return. Our family had a lovely experience with having the property to ourselves.. Outdoor area is a stand out. "Great house for family holidays"

9.0

Very special place, very quite and lots of lands around. Andrea was very friendly and very helpful. The garden is amazing, the swimming pool also and we had a very nice dinner table outside. Really a beautiful house and place for family holidays.

Maybe some beds could have been slightly more comfortable, but it wasn't bad either. The last 500 m road to access the house is a bit chaotic, but also makes the charm of the place.

"A Beautiful Place to Stay"

10.0

A beautiful property steeped in history, with its very traditional layout and lovely antique furniture. All our needs were catered for in this very special holiday home, the owner Andrea had thought of everything. Casale Scola is set in stunning, private grounds, with the added bonus of a gorgeous well maintained swimming pool. Romantic lighting illuminates beautiful olive trees and a pergola where you can sit to enjoy evening meals. The town is about 30 minutes walk away, it has lovely restaurants and bars, and a good supermarket. We also had a really good wine tasting experience at Cantina La Fresca Di Pimpolari Loretana which included hams, cheeses, honey etc all from her farm. However the walk into town while enjoyable, is along country lanes which are a little steep in places and not well lit at night. Casale Scola is also in a great location for visiting many beautiful nearby hill top towns, vineyards and natural hot springs where you can bathe. Andrea the host is a lovely person who met us on arrival and who kept in touch during the week to make sure we were OK. We had a really lovely holiday at this property and would highly recommend it. Thank you Andrea.

There was nothing negative about this holiday home.

"Fabulous stay, would highly reccommend."

10.0

The house and grounds were spectacular. Amazing views as far as the eye could see. Very private location but easy drive to numerous historic locations. Plenty of living areas, bathrooms and very well stocked kitchen. Host was incredible, he met us on the first day to show us around. Host maintained contact with us to ensure we had everything we needed. Grounds and pool were maintained everyday. We loved staying here and would definitely book again

We all wished we had booked for longer in the area and the property. A car is required in my opinion, however host offers electric charging station which was convenient.

"Pretty house in a beautiful area."

9.0

It’s a mansion! Very pretty grounds, well maintained. Amazing swimming pool with a view. Very large rooms with antique furnitures. Electric car charger. Andrea is super nice and helpful.

Some minor issues like toaster and coffee machine that broke down and electricity problem around the house (not in the house). Andrea was quick to take care of everything. The house was a bit cold and the heating wasn’t active at the time. Showers are very small.

"Idyllic Rejuvenation"

10.0

Where to start ? Andrea the Host is a very amenable, flexible, informative, warm, welcoming and friendly host. The Casale needed to cope with 8 adults, a mix of family and friends, adults and teenagers and it did this exceptionally well. We stayed for 7 nights, had two birthday celebrations, to which one grew to the size of 23 people .. and Andrea VERY kindly brought in extra tables, plates, glasses and cutlery. Thank you SO much Andrea ! The Casale is a place of serenity .. with a warm breeze whistling through the cypresses and the doves vying with the cicadas. The pool was constantly maintained. Our stay here came after four weeks on the road and it was simply idyllic. The house has heart. .. and if you want to leave the house to see some sights, there are many to choose from within an hours drive.

Nothing really .. the road in to the Casale is gravel and a little steep towards the end - but that is the charm of the house. We loved it, but don't come in a vehicle with no clearance !!

"This Tuscan villa gave us a fabulous experience beyond our expectations...so Tuscany!"

10.0

The property was exactly what you would expect for a Tuscan villa, and more! Throughout the villa, the rooms were filled with very unique and interesting artefacts. The wood, the stone, the art work...it was just amazing to stay there for a week. The views of the vistas, the grounds, the pool, the trees...just so Tuscany. Right out of the movies. In fact the villa has an Italian film industry connection that just made it so. The location was convenient as it was very close to a couple quaint towns that had a couple of nice restaurants. Places like Siena and Cortona were about an hour away through the beautiful countryside. (couldn't have survived without Google Maps!) And the owner Andreas was very helpful leading up to our stay and very accessible during our stay to help explain things we missed during the check-in. We all just loved the overall experience!

The only thing we had a challenge with was that the WIFI was a little spotty and didn't reach all the rooms all the time.

"Very nice villa for a getaway, not far from Rome"

8.0

The villa was very nice with interesting history and beautiful surroundings. The host was very accommodating and attentive. The nearby town of Cetona was lovely with nice restaurants with very good food, as recommended by the host. The house heated up nicely and was very comfortable, but to fully enjoy it, summertime may be the best to enjoy the garden area and the pool. In any case, it was a perfect space for the 7 of us to stay.

The internet connection was quite weak, even in the same room as the router. I had to work a couple of the days I was there but struggled to work with online files. But if you're there for a true vacation, that wouldn't matter... The temperature could not be adjusted in the shower in the main bedroom suite.

"The perfect place for a great vacation"

10.0

The place was 5 min. drive from Cetona. The house and place are divine, taken from a movie scene. The host Andrea is a lovely person, so helpful and kind and always available. We appreciated his recommendations ,the tasty dinner he prepare for us, and the nice gift of wine and soaps. A lot of place for 8 people. big dining room, great rooms, baths, and well equipped kitchen

Just a small thing - will be nice to add a duvet cover for blankets

"All in all a fabulous trip where family memories were made."

9.0

What a unique find – this villa in the heart of Tuscany and close to Cetano, was oozing with character. Home for a week for our family of five, this villa provided the perfect place to relax and soak up the stunning surrounding countryside. Inside the villa, filled with period furniture and full of character, was a great place to relax and unwind. Outside the wonderful pagoda area offers a lovely spot for a barbeque, while the pool area offered beautiful views across the hills. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay – plenty of room to find a quiet space as well as being equipped to entertain. Host Andrea gave us a complete tour of the villa when we arrived, with a thoughtful welcome gift of handcrafted local soaps, candles and wine, and he was attentive throughout, quickly responding to questions and even offering to book tables for us at local restaurants if we needed.

steep drive to access property but doable
