The staff is very friendly and always available. The apartment is very clean, tidy and pleasant. The pool was very clean. The apartment is in a small village in a quiet location. There is a shop, bakery/pastry shop and gas station about 2 minutes away by car from the apartment. To see the city you need about 10-15 minutes by car. Suitable for all those who would like to relax and see many nearby tourist destinations at the same time. There are many beautiful beaches 10-20 minutes away from the apartment. Worth seeing of course! For your visit, take into account that you definitely need a car, which I think everyone thinks is normal because Crete is a large island. If you are tired from driving and visiting other destinations for a day or two, you will be happy to stay in the apartment because it is so pleasant that you don't even need to go anywhere.My partner and I had a great time and saw a lot. We left with a very heavy heart, so we plan to return again and this apartment would be our choice again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Jarko Luxury Houses! The apartment was incredibly spacious, beautifully modern, and had everything we could possibly need — even cooking essentials like oil and coffee, which is rare in Greece. We truly enjoyed preparing meals and appreciated the bonus of a washing machine to handle our laundry. The panoramic view over Souda Bay from the balcony and large windows was breathtaking. Communication with the staff was warm and prompt — they were always quick to respond to our messages. Yes, there were some barking dogs nearby, as others have noted, but it didn’t bother us much.

Why I’m rating it a 9 instead of 10: quite a bit of the communication back and forth could have been avoided with a simple instruction sheet. Despite all the messaging, no one was there when we arrived and we had to wait. I also requested an extra blanket, which I never received — and with chilly, rainy weather on the first days, we ended up cold at night since the thin summer cover wasn’t enough. Luckily, we figured out how to use the heating on our own. It was the same with the hot water and clothes drying rack — we had to message the hosts to figure things out. Overall, it’s a fantastic place with tons of positives — especially the space and views — and a little more attention to guest info would make it absolutely perfect.

The location and the view are something you simply have to see for yourself — absolutely breathtaking. The property itself was brand new and looked great.

For 3 out of the 5 days of our stay, we experienced issues with water—initially with hot water, and later with the Wi-Fi, which began to malfunction. Additionally, there were no heaters available, not even in the bathroom. Since we were unlucky with both the weather and the temperature, this became quite burdensome, especially when combined with the lack of hot water. The TV is also far from state-of-the-art; only one streaming platform was available. And while it’s true that you don’t go to Crete to watch TV all day, after a long day of hiking and sightseeing, it would have been nice to relax and stream one of our favorite movies together. Another small disappointment was the absence of any basic groceries upon arrival. We checked in late at night, and it’s a thoughtful gesture we’ve experienced in several similar places before.

It has a nice view

Beds were awful. Not so clean: hair strands everywhere, toilet garbage from the previous tenants, missing showerhead in one toilet. Missing lightbulbs in some rooms. BBQ area is shared but for us it wasn't easily accesible so we didn't use it, we had to take a chair to have somewhere to sit while we were outside. For two bathrooms we only had 3 (THREE) extra rolls of toilet paper for a week stay. Toiletries in generic bottles with faded out manually printed labels. The same property for this Maisonette is listed on Booking under "Villa Jarko" but it has a way lower score, I assume this is why it is listed under this property because it will pull the score higher. Finally, for the property owners that will respond to this message: please don't reply with "if you told us we could have helped you". Just take the above feedback and make the place worth the money you are asking for it and the "luxury" (HA!) in your title. Almost everything listed above could have been avoided if the property was properly maintained. Even those horrible beds could have been ignored by us and we would have left a nice review if everything else was ok (see I didn't use the word perfect). During our stay, things just kept piling up and we even stopped contacting you for other things because we were simply fed up and we felt like we were scammed for the price we paid and the conditions we got.
