tea + biscuits the night we arrived, walking with us through the tea plantation, picking us up in his tuktuk, waking up at 4am to say goodbye to us, being flexible when we forgot to pay cash! overall eranga was a great host. The place was well cleaned and the view was spectacular too

The only thing was the bathroom, I would love to have one inside the property and it didn’t feel like a private bathroom. the locks were sometimes stuck

Ontzettend lieve en betrokken host. Hielp ook graag om je ergens naartoe te brengen of eten te verzorgen. Super mooi uitzicht over de theeplantages met zonsondergang. Hele goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. Zeker een aanrader!

I had a wonderful stay at Hikers Holiday Home in Nuwara Eliya. The host, Eranga, is fantastic — incredibly welcoming and helpful, and he really made the experience special. When I arrived he greeted me with tea and biscuits, which was such a lovely touch after travelling. In the morning he brought me fresh egg rolls which were absolutely delicious. He also offered to take me around in his tuk-tuk if I needed transport, which was very kind. One of the highlights was going for a walk through the surrounding tea fields, to and around Lake Gregory. Eranga showed me the way himself, along with his friendly dog Tommy, and it was lovely! The property itself is a bit of a hidden gem. It’s tucked away off the beaten path — you reach it by heading down a long set of stairs rather than along a road — but that’s part of what makes it so special. The scenery around the house is stunning, with incredible views over the tea fields and surrounding hills! The accommodation itself is basic but comfortable, with a spacious living area and bathroom and good Wi-Fi. I personally walked to and from town, but many people might prefer to take a tuk-tuk, which are easy to arrange. Overall, it’s a peaceful place to stay with an amazing host and unforgettable views. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The owner was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay special. He generously provided breakfast and fresh fruit, even though they were not included in the price. He also kindly offered complimentary transportation to and from the restaurant. The view from the lodging was absolutely breathtaking, making this one of my favorite stays in Sri Lanka

There are 108 steps to reach the property. Still I would return to this property without hesitation. Highly recomended for natural lovers

La famille est adorable, serviable +++, La vue est magnifique. Logement idéalement situé dans les champs de thé. Ne pas oublier Tomy ;). Je recommande à 1000%.

Wonderful place to stay! Very nice family. Rooms are big and the area surrounding the home is gorgeous. Lots of colorful plants and a great view! Bed are comfy as well
