My favorite part was the property itself and the hosts that were very attentive and friendly. 25 days traveling Italy and this was my favorite of the 7 accommodations we stayed in. Loved the location. Next to Fontebranda - Fontanina Contrada dell'Oca, a really cool medieval well in great condition, that I might not have seen had I stayed some place else. Away from the more crowded areas of the old city but only a 5-10 minute walk to the old city center. There is a city escalator behind a small park directly across from the property that is very convenient to reach the Basilica. Bottom line; Would I stay again? Most Definitely. Would I recommend it to people I know? Without hesitation or reservation. I would also like to recommend a restaurant just a few minutes up the hill, Grotta Santa Caterina da Bagoga, there were four of us and we were all vey happy we found it.

Wish I would have stayed longer.

The apartment is located within the car restrictions zone. We were lucky to get the last free parking space available in the free parking down the hill. Our friendly host came to drive our luggage up the hill despite the late check in at 10 pm. The apartment is a few steps away from the entrance to a series of escalators that get you to the top of Siena

It was the best & most beautiful house we stay during our Italy trip. The house was within/next to the city wall and outside cars were not permitted to enter. The owner David was very helpful to use his car to bring our luggages to/from the house. He even let use the carpark card for nearby parking (Of course, we top up the card :) ). The owners pay a lot of attention & details to provide maximum comfort and they succeeded. The place looks better than in the photos. My wife falls in love with the kitchen, it was beautiful and practical. The location is great and major attractions are just within easy walking distance. Pay a visit to the Duomo, the inside is better decorated than the Florence counterpart.

We stayed at Secret Garden House for two nights. The home is warm, cosy and has a wonderful lived-in vibe. It is very well appointed and thoughtfully organised with necessary appliances and amenities. It has two rooms on the first floor and two bathrooms, one of which is on the ground floor along with the living area and kitchen. The location is fantastic. It is in a quiet residential (note - ZTL) lane inside the walled city. There is a little bit of a drive needed to get to it and one needs to park outside the ZTL limits if renting a car. However, once there, the Duomo and piazza are easily accessible via escalators that are right opposite the house. Would also like to mention that Davide is an exceptionally warm and attentive host. We had a little mis-adventure prior to check in and got trapped in pouring rain with all our bags, just outside the ZTL. And though this is a self check-in property, Davide was kind enough to come to our rescue with his car. He was also very prompt in reverting to all queries during our stay. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend this place highly, if a homely relaxed vibe is what you are after.

We had an issue with the plumbing of the loo in the ground floor bathroom on day two of our stay and couldn't use it thereafter. But it was just happenstance and Davide promptly got it fixed - it would already have been functional by the time we left.

Davide, the host, was always immediately available on phone or in person if needed and couldn’t have been more helpful. Apartment is a welcome oasis of space, light & homely comforts.
