Location is a bit far from the center of Kandy so a transport is always necessary to move around.
NLWe had a wonderful stay at this hillside hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our visit special: arranging rides, preparing fresh breakfast each day, and even packing custom snacks for our upcoming train journey. The location is stunning, perched on the mountainside with panoramic views of the surrounding nature. The setting feels peaceful and remote, yet it’s only a short 5 to 10-minute ride into the center of Kandy. One of the highlights was enjoying breakfast while watching monkeys play nearby on the balcony. A truly memorable experience, especially for the kids.
That said, reaching the hotel can be a bit of a challenge. The road leading up is steep, and the final stretch, while hardened, isn’t fully paved with smooth tarmac. This could be difficult for those not used to mountain driving or for tuk-tuks, especially in wet weather. Still, once you're there, the peaceful atmosphere and warm hospitality more than make up for the tricky approach.
DEDas Zimmer sieht genauso aus wie auf den Fotos. Die Aussicht ist wirklich wahnsinnig toll. Das Zimmer war großzügig geschnitten, das Bett sehr bequem. Das Personal war sehr lieb. Unser Frühstück war sehr lecker. Bisher die schönste Unterkunft in Sri Lanka und der Preis wirklich unschlagbar!

MYThe accomodation was new, spacious and well managed. The rooms were well lit as there were windows all around which made us appreciate the views better. The host (Chamara), was very accomodating although we arrived later than expected. He assisted us with a warm welcome and made sure everything was comfortable for us.
There were some issues with the water heater in the bathroom. Ended up taking a cold shower in the morning instead.
BDNeat and clean,the stuff Ms Ganga is superb. Very welcoming and friendly, treated like family. Made us surprised anniversary decorations with a tasty cake. Highly recommend.
