Mwazaro Beach Lodge

Die Lodge ist wunderschön, angenehm außerhalb der Touristenströme gelegen und ein absoluter Geheimtipp. Wir haben noch nie so aufmerksames Personal, so tolles Essen (Halbpension, jeden Abend drei Gänge) und so eine atemberaubende Location auf ein Mal erlebt. Halbpension ist eine große Empfehlung, da es wirklich keine Nachbarhotels oder angrenzende Restaurants gibt. Außerdem bekommt man hier jeden Abend frischen Fisch, wenn man will. Die Village Walks mit Hamizi sind zudem ein Muss, um den Lebensstil der Dorfbewohner in der Nähe zu erleben. Wenn ihr Natur liebt und einen ganz besonderen Ort sucht, dann seid ihr hier richtig. Wir kommen zu 100% wieder.

Absolute peace and quiet. Right on the ocean shore; wonderful, warm, welcoming staff. A great getaway to recharge - perfect 'vtamin sea'. Beautiful sunrise, amazing food, excellent accommodation. It's also lovely to see that the lodge has thought about sustainability, such as solar power, reverse osmosis, reclaimed materials, locally sourced food etc. I can't wait to go back. 💕

Het is een verborgen juweeltje. De bouw van de huisjes, het prachtige strand, het uitzicht.. Alles is even mooi. Het personeel is stuk voor stuk ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Niets is teveel gevraagd en hun vrolijkheid is aanstekelijk. Je waant je echt even in het paradijs. Wij komen heel graag nog een keer terug!

Alles was perfect. Het enige dat misschien handig is om te weten is dat de tweepersoonskamers qua ligging niet onder doen aan de cottages. Ze liggen namelijk pal naast elkaar. De cottages bestaan deels uit tentdoeken en beschikken enkel over een ( goede) fan, geen airco. Daardoor kan het wat warm worden ( als je daar gevoelig voor bent). Wij zijn na 1 nacht geswitcht van een cottage naar een 2- persoonskamer met airco. Wat wel een pre is van de cottages is dat je ‘s ochtends de aapjes over het rieten dak hoort lopen.

Unser Aufenthalt in der Mwazaro Beach Lodge war einfach traumhaft! Von dem Moment an, als wir ankamen, wurden wir herzlich empfangen. Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend, was unseren Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Die Lage der Lodge ist atemberaubend, mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf den Strand und das Meer. Die Zimmer sind komfortabel und gut ausgestattet, sodass wir uns sofort wie zu Hause fühlten. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die Gastfreundschaft des gesamten Teams. Sie haben alles getan, um unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich zu machen, und wir fühlten uns stets gut betreut. Wir können die Mwazaro Beach Lodge nur wärmstens empfehlen und freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch!

We actually wanted to go to more well-known and prestigious resorts, but they were all fully booked over New Year's – who would have thought? That turned out to be our good fortune. We ended up in a much less touristy area, where we could take solitary walks on the beach, go on trips to nearby caves and villages, and simply experience a more authentic Kenya. The staff are fantastic, everyone is friendly, but not in the way they are at the big tourist resorts, they are much more authentic. I believe and hope that these people have a good place to work. We stayed in a small bungalow, simply beautiful, no reason to complain. The restaurant was also good and tried to fulfil all our wishes. The cuisine was mainly Italian, but they also serve traditional Kenyan dishes on request. This place is ideal for people who want to hear the wind, the ocean and its counterpart. Music was only played in the restaurant and was turned down significantly on request. The staff are acoustically discreet and almost all the guests are too (the latter may have been just luck). Simply a place that invites you to visit again.

Even after a couple of weeks I don't remember anything really disturbing.

Very nice property on a quiet stretch of beach. Rooms were excellent. Service was great as well.

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, der Spot zum Kitesurfen exzellent. Das Hotel ist vor allem für Kiter geeignet, nur zum Baden gibt es sicher schönere Strände/Wasser. Das Personal ist extrem nett und zuvorkommend ohne die für Kenia typische Gier auf Tips👏🏼

Der Preis ist zu hoch auch wenn man viel dafür bekommt. Bei uns war das Hotel leer, vermutlich deswegen. Kiteservices fehleb aktuell noch ohne Kiteworldwide Station.

I love the friendly staff och the beautiful environment. The food was also excellent. Special thanks to Mildred and Pashua for making the stay so pleasant. Great place to relax.

It is a bot remote so there is not much to do. Could have had a small gym so that you could do some workouts.
