Love Nest apartment

The location was perfect, lovely walk from the bus station. Good bathroom. Entering easy once you get the video

It’s quirky, took me a long time to work out how to use cook top and never got the giant television going. It is dank so judicious use of aircon and window to not feel like you are living in a cave. Declutter.

Location is amazing, just a half minute away from Kongresni Trg and Ljubljanica river canal, where you can find a lot of restaurants and bars. It's furnished nicely, its cozy and clean.

Sadly, the smell of moisture and mold all over the walls spoiled our staying there. It was a challenge to sleep at night because of it. AC helps a bit, but the smell is present still. Since the apartment is placed in old sharing house, we could hear neighbors from above walking, specially late at night, it sounded like they are stomping. Coffe machine water tank was covered with scale, so we couldn't use it. TV remote controller was missing a battery. Water heater was off when we entered the apartment, so we needed to wait a while to take a shower, and the day was super hot. It would've been nice if we had some cold water, soda or something in the fridge when entered. Apartment is on ground floor, so the window faces the small passage leading to the hotel next door.

Location was great for the city center. The flat was functional and the shower was great.

There are many small things that would make the experience staying there much better such as: kitchen dish towels, a stand for the dishes, filled in soap dispensers, batteries for the remote controls, bedside light with proper on/off switch. These are small things that with some care and attention can improve the flat a lot.

The location is superb, central to restaurants and the old town. The shower and bathroom are clean and well set up. We didn’t have a car, but being able to park would be a bonus

For a start, Finding the place is hard. The instructions say #4, not making it clear that access is at the rear of #4. Even the locals thought it was at the front. We eventually found it using the utube video. The apartment name was not shown anywhere to reassure us we were at the correct location. The delayed noncommittal response from the host didn’t encourage further communication. We walked in and the musty smell was AWFUL. We quickly saw mould in several places. Mould spores are inherently a serious health hazard. The apartment said it slept 3, there were 2 singles, 2 chairs and a fold down that looked as if it might sleep a child. There was Too much furniture and stuff on every surface, so it was difficult to find space for our own gear. The profile says it has a street view. See photo. The handle to the toilet fell off on day one, we were afraid of being trapped in there. The price did NOT include tourist tax. Which made the pricing quite misleading. All other places we stayed in Slovenia included the tax. Plus we found finger nail clippings on the kitchen table - yich. A final incidental point is they said there would be chocolates- there weren’t. This is my first negative review over many years.

Clean and tidy close to city centre/old town. Good size and had most facilities we required.

The entrance off the road seemed a little sketchy, although we had no problems with safety.

Very near the center of ljubljana. They had wifi and reasonable kitchen facilities (which we didn't use). Clean.

Unfortunately, there were no instructions that told us to turn on the water heater in the bathroom. It took us quite a while to figure out how to turn on the water heater. Then we had to wait for an hour for it to heat up before we could take a shower. Funny name - love nest! There were 2 beds separated by 10cm hard wooden piece! Also, the beds creaked when one rolled over.

The apartment was really well located ! We were able to drop off our luggage before the check in time ! I would be happy to come back

However, we had an issue with hot water : you have to press a button outside the bathroom in order to make the water heater working. We didn’t know so we took a cold shower the first day as we were exhausted because of our travel day. We reached out to the host to figure out the problem and… we didn’t get any answer for the whole trip.. Hopefully we managed it by ourselves but disappointed with the silence of the host.

The location is wonderful and staff very helpful. Our daughter was not well and they got the place ready ahead of time so she could go to bed asap.

No soap in the bathroom, no garbage bags for rubbish and too much furniture for such a small apartment.

We’ve stayed here on two occasions: the first time back in 2019 and the second time in June 2023. The apartment is quite charming and very centrally located - we couldn’t be happier with the location. The place is modern, nicely decorated and equipped with handy facilities like a giant smart TV with Netflix.

The apartment has lost a personal touch since the management changed. Back in 2019, the previous host’s (Jernej) attentiveness, friendliness, and responsiveness were on point and one of the best things about the apartment. Now, those things are lacking and the absence of a responsive host who’s there in case something goes wrong ruins the experience a bit. I also contacted the agency (new management) about the problem with the TV, and nobody replied.
