BKAN RIAD MARRAKECH

We really enjoyed staying at the riad. It is located very close to the main square in the Medina with easy access to the shouks and the city outside the Medina. The stuff Zac and Fatima were amazing and were doing anything they could to help us and communicate with us even though we don't speak french. The room and the bathroom were clean with enough space for both of us.

The internet in the room was very patchy.

Trevlig personal! Killen som hade hand om riaden var oerhört hjälpsam och tillmötesgående. Vi fick låna en nyckel för att komma och gå, något vi uppskattade. Pannkakorna till frukosten var goda. Läget mitt i medinan var perfekt!

Vi hade bokat transfer via boendet som aldrig dök upp på flygplatsen, anledningen förstod vi aldrig. Vi fick lösa taxi själva. Boendet överensstämmer inte med bilderna på booking. Det var väldigt slitet och skulle behöva lite underhåll. Saknades ex krokar att hänga handdukar på toaletten, handdukarna var inte torra, ingen hårtork. Små detaljer som hade gjort skillnad. Vi reste i december och det var fruktansvärt kallt på rummet, vi sov i underställ och raggsockor. På andra riader vi besökte hade de el-element på rummen. Frukosten var god men bestod enbart av pannkakor, te, kaffe och yoghurt, på andra riader serverades även frukt, juice och ägg. Hade ökat betyget om detta fanns här också.

Zak and Latifa, who work at the property, were truly wonderful and took great care of us throughout our stay. The building itself is an original historic riad, which adds a lot of character. The location is excellent — it’s an easy walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa, as well as many great restaurants and museums. Its proximity to Bab Laksour also makes getting a taxi very straightforward. The team at the riad really saved our trip with their kindness and attentiveness, and they were without doubt the highlight of our stay.

The riad is advertised as having a roof terrace, but during our stay this area was completely closed and appeared to be a building site. This was not mentioned at the time of booking, which felt quite unfair, as the terrace was one of the main reasons I chose this property. We also booked an airport transfer which unfortunately did not arrive. Arriving with my elderly parents, this caused unnecessary stress at the start of our stay- with very little communication to help us from the owners. The photos online do not accurately reflect the current condition of the riad and I would say amount to false advertising. It feels quite run down and in need of maintenance, which is a real shame as the space itself has a lot of potential but currently feels rather unloved. A few small improvements could make a big difference — for example, tea and coffee-making facilities in the rooms and better-quality toiletries would help elevate the experience. Breakfast was also disappointing. There was no fresh orange juice or fruit, and the same pancakes were served every morning, which felt quite limited. This feels like a massive missed opportunity when we’re in Marrakech - a place with so much fresh produce. Overall, this riad could be much nicer with more care, transparency, and attention to detail.

The accommodation is in a great location in the Medina of Marrakesh and is comfortably furnished. Both the rooms and the courtyard invite you to linger. The staff are very friendly and take good care of their guests. They are quick to help with any questions or minor issues. We really enjoyed our stay at this accommodation. For the real Marrakesh experience, you should choose this Riad over any hotel.
