BKAN RIAD MARRAKECH

The riad is located in the Medina and has a very good location — close to the main square (about a 10-minute walk), and on the other side there is a local food market nearby where you can find cheaper vegetables, fruits, and local food. Karim, the riad caretaker, is a very witty and helpful guy. He helped me get medicine and made herbal tea when I got sick (I had food poisoning during the trip). When we arrived early in the morning, even though breakfast was not included yet, he still offered us tea and local pancakes. The riad itself is quite old and very small, with only a few rooms, but if you want the true Marrakech vibe, it is perfect for that! The room itself was fairly spacious, with a large comfortable bed, air conditioning, and a spacious bathroom. The only downside is that the sound insulation is poor, so you can hear noises quite easily. However, even though the riad is in the Medina, it is not located on one of the noisier streets, so at night it is actually quite calm and you do not hear scooters like in some other areas.

The breakfast was probably the weakest point — quite basic and always the same: a yogurt, pancakes, and local bread with tea. They do not offer fruits, vegetables, or eggs. Since I do not eat sugar or gluten, I could not really eat much there, so we made our own breakfasts instead. I bought eggs at the market, asked Karim, and he cooked them for us :-)

Was more basic than I expected, internet not always great. Possibly could have provided more options for breakfast e.g. boiled egg, also provide butter for bread. Room was dark

The hotel staff is wonderful. They're always willing to help and offer advice if needed.

Rien tout est sale ou rien ne fonctionne Clim douche prises de courant photos à l’appui

Tout, établissement qui devrait être fermé. Aucuns entretiens, tout est crasseux, pas de poubelle, douche obstruée ainsi que la vmc. Clim qui ne fonctionne pas sous 38 degrés... Inadmissible !

Service, Lage und Dachterrasse. Karim als Host: zuverlässig, sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit!! Danke Karim!

Internet ist nicht so stabil ….

Location was perfect, easy to find, room was clean. Karem was helpful, approachable and helped with many things. We will definitely book again very soon and see Karem again.

Très bien situé au centre de la Médina dans un quartier très passant à 2 min à pieds du Souk et malgré tout très calme et tranquille la nuit. Notre hôte était très agréable et serviable, petit déjeuner local au top et très bon. Très agréable le restaurant d'à coté et sa terrasse, personnel très sympathique, bons plats, très appréciable après une grosse journée de visite loin du tumulte de la place Jemaa El-Fna

Chambre un peu sombre, un peu cher pour un Riad sans piscine mais vraiment très bien situé. Notre vraie déception est sur la terrasse qui avait également orienté notre choix mais les photos sont obsolètes car les deux endroits cosi avec chaises et tables basses sous pergolas sont devenu de nouvelles chambres ce qui l'a fortement réduite.
