Makri Sunrise Villa

The property is large and there was plenty of space for the four of us. It was also very clean.

It was extremely cold and there was very little hot water. The big problem was the lack of hot water. Despite being promised limitless hot water there was only a little (enough for one person to shower). I contacted the host who said to just run the tap for 5 mins but I ran it for 20 with no result. The host did not offer any further help and she did not come over to check the system or even tell me where the boiler was so I could try and see if something easily fixable was wrong. She initially said she'd look into a partial refund but then changed her mind a week later. I've no doubt the hot water system works well and it was simply a temporary problem but I was extremely disappointed that a host would charge over £170 for a single night and not even make an effort to sort out what was wrong. I didn't mind the property being cold - it was February after all - but a lot of hosts would have put the heating on 30mins before guests arrived. As it was we got in at 2230 and climbed into freezing beds. We left early the next morning to continue our drive feeling cold and somewhat cheated by the high price charged.

Villa was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Fireplace, jakuzi, smart tv, garden, comfortable beds were really nice and in good conditions.

We were very, very happy for everything. Our host was incredibly kind and helpful. Whatever we needed was always there for us. Everything was perfect. Her thoughtful demeanor made us very happy.We hope to go again soon...
