Avondale New Forest

Comfortable, well equipped spacious property in a beautiful setting. Tastefully furnished, comfy beds and quality bedding. Outside space was ideal with lovely views of horses and sheep. So lovely and quiet too. Great pub down the road with excellent food and a useful shop, lovely walks too. Welcome pack was a bonus, games got used, 2 lounge areas which was useful.

I got locked in the bathroom upstairs a few times! Some noisy plumbing in the downstairs bathroom. Mosquitos.

Really lovely place, super clean, great view over the field out the back and really nice garden.

Area was wonderful..view out of garden, perfect and quiet.

Nothing major. Some of the kitchen equipment needs replacing and only one key to the front door that locked every time it shut made it worrying at times

Everything, it ticked all our boxes from location, through to all its facilities. Being able to relax in the snug area and watch horses and sheep wandering through the fields at the back of the house will long be remembered.

We loved the location for easy access to walking in the New Forest and around the village with our 2 dogs. The views from, and the privacy and quietness of the garden with its delightful terrace was wonderful. The property was beautifully furnished, well equipped, clean, comfortable and spacious for our group of 5. And we managed to park 4 cars on the drive and still close the gate! The welcome pack and dog bowls etc were appreciated.

It felt immediately like a welcoming home. The hosts and property are outstanding. Every details has been thought of and the welcome pack was great to have after a long journey. The view from the back garden, looking onto fields with horses and sheep made the stay extra special.

Two tiny things - more hanging space in two of the bedrooms and sturdier side tables for teas/coffees to perch. But really, this property is outstanding.

Lovely house with great facilities. Plenty of towels in all the bedrooms and extra in the shower room. Exceptionally clean and tidy and a lovely welcome pack on arrival - 2 bottles of wine (1 red, 1 white) loaf of sourdough bread, butter, chocolate biscuits & milk. Ice in the freezer too. Parking on the driveway for up to 3 cars & more space outside the gates. Location great with good pub, shop and post office in the village. Ponies roam free through the village too.

Had to be careful to keep the key inside the house or would've been locked in (we were warned about this before our arrival). Only 1 hairdryer dryer supplied and some bedrooms had no mirror. One of our friends got locked in the bedroom as the handle didn't work from the inside (he fixed this). The lounge only had seats for 6 people despite the house sleeping 8. We took 2 seats in from the garden.

Lots of space, very clean and well looked after.
