Nothing as I did not stay there but the host did offer an alternative accommodation at her friends. I did not accept the offer and will not accept an offer outside the protection offered on booking.com.

In spite of confirming and reconfirming the booking, and chatting with the host on the day I was to check in, the host cancelled my stay at the last moment as I was travelling by road to Nairobi, leaving me stranded. I frantically had to find somewhere else to stay that night on booking.com I have records of whatsapp messages indicated that I was contacted by the host at 1247 hours close to check in and not at 12 noon. There was no booking.com link shared with me for another property. It is the responsibility of the host to honour a confirmed booking. I should not have to suffer the adverse consequences of someone unilaterally extending his stay.
