"A magical slice of rural Portugal!"

Casa da Ferreirinha is located in a tiny village built on a very steep hill. There are two (sometimes three) restaurants in the lower part of town and a souvenir shop that also sells essentials. There are lots and lots of hikes right outside the door. We loved the house and the location. A five day stay and we didn't move our car until the end of the rental. If you are looking for lots of restaurants, shops and a night life - this is not the place for you. If you can't manage driving/walking on VERY steep, narrow, cobblestone streets, again not the place for you! But if you want to immerse yourself in a truly rural environment and enjoy spectacular scenery, this would be the place to stay.

Beautiful stone building that is very comfortable with 2 bedrooms AND 2 bathrooms. Lovely view over the roof tops to the town Make sure you follow the hosts video directions as Google maps does not know about the one-way system! Lots of walks accessible from the accommodation - you don't need to drive Small shop in town selling basics, but check when they are open

I wish there was an electric kettle - not everyone is a coffee drinker
